It's not a sexual picture. Obscenity is (implied) sexuality. Nipples aren't inherently sexual, it's all about the intent of the poster. This picture is... quite non-sexual.

The purpose of this rule is more to grant the fact no sexual discussion is brought up.

Indeed, but i highly doubt it applies literally, because that'd turn that Post your picture thread illegal, then. Because there were previously pictures of members' foot, fingers, forearms, legs, being shown in some pictures. They can be put into that rule, and become illegal, but i doubt such infraction festival actually happened. Why? Because the context such pictures were posted weren't in a context that sexualizes it, that can derail the topic.

The rule literally states that any parts of the human body are forbidden, even if it's real of imaginary, but i don't really see everyone getting infracted for posting pictures, posting anime characters, drawings or anything like that.
That rule is more to state that a sexual discussion shouldn't been brought, but i'd love to know where a nipple in a foot, in a scientific article, is a manner of sexualizing nipples.

I've posted the picture because it was necessary, especially in the occasion it was a scientific discovery, or would anyone care if it was a notice about a third nipple on a foot, if there's not even an example, and a proof of it.
That's the context where the picture fits, i've put the picture in Spoilers because it's not really something you're obligated to look, but if you're interested in the notice there's nothing wrong with looking at the discovery.

There's an enormous difference between something maybe disgusting, that bothers to look, and that's why it was in a spoiler, than something obscene. The picture WAS necessary, and of course i have read those rules once again before posting this. And even if it says that no human body parts are allowed to be posted, it's called "Obscenity", and was always about a sexual distortion.

Sincerely, if it's illegal, then i really don't understand why the name for the rule is still Obscenity, because at such context, it's not even close to a sexual discussion, or even something that relates to it. The ones bringing the subject about Fetishes are the replies, not the thread, nor the picture. So, i'd love to know where a scientific article, showing an unusual situation, has something to do with a fetish discussion, or to turn the topic into something sexual that would fall under such rule.

If the rule applies literally, remember me not to post a picture of myself or not to include an human anywhere, because "ANY human or anthropomorphic representation, real or imaginary" can be anything. The picture has nothing wrong, and was posted to grant an example and data for the article.

It's really not my fault that the rule is poorly worded. I know what they want with the obscenity rule, but I just feel with the way it's implemented we are afraid to post much anything (because it actually falls as illegal on the written rule) and then the way it's treated is different.

Why should rules be treated as purely black and white?

And I don't know about a few people here, but I personally find medical science interesting. I don't really see that image as overly sexual. Luckily as a whole, Southperry is a very mature community of young people, so most people here are able to cope ok with threads like this.
