Looking at the thread for grinding professions, I saw that you need hundreds of gold plates just to get level 10. However, all level 1-4 ores are in that secret mine thing, with the monster maps having one of each level ore going from 5 to 9 or so (not including Victoria).
Would be easy to find if the rocks were named after what ore they drop, but instead they're named by color, or by something else, making it hard to decipher this...
