This is stupid. It implies that once a person gets married, he can't have friends of the opposite sex, especially if he's famous.

The article even mentions Hanson saying that loves his wife. He's just going through some phase of instability in their relationship.

They're people, just as you and I. The only difference is that the public throws the title "role model" on every single celebrity, be it good or bad.

In most cases I would agree, but in this specific case, catching a guy who made a living essentially spying on people and televising it is kinda ironicly funny. For every one actual predator he caught, there were most likely hundreds if not thousands of random normal people caught in the mix for no reason other than to amuse people.
