Threats to PvP: Hacks

If everyone's smart enough to just leave as soon as they know a hacker is there they'll gain almost no benefit from hacking (since they won't be able to get many points off of anyone).

Most General Maplers will try to kill the hacker and fail at doing so.

But in time, we'll see how this does go.

ttoo bad that most current players will try to make some sort of deal with the hacker, like we give you the medals to make lvl 130 items and you let us get all the exp. That's how rotten our comunity is.

I might be dead tired and clueless, but has anyone brought up the possibility of hackers making an exploit where they can use their attacks outside of the PvP arena? I mean it's not like hackers haven't tricked maple into doing something before...

I might be dead tired and clueless, but has anyone brought up the possibility of hackers making an exploit where they can use their attacks outside of the PvP arena? I mean it's not like hackers haven't tricked maple into doing something before...

If you mean those PvP exclusive attacks, its not all that useful so it wont happen.

Why anyone would even -actually- PvP against strangers in a game like this is beyond me.

Because it will almost be ridiculous if you're in a populated world trying to PvP at peak hours? Not to mention that anyone could enter the map as it's all randomized.

Trying to trade wins in PvP is also an absurd remark since who in their right mind would waste their time to give you all the exp and bp?

I'm more worried about them finding a way to kill people outside of pvp.

If that's true then this system is basically incredibly broken. It will be hacked up, down, left, right, A, B, and a common PvP experience will be an incredibly unpleasant one.

Pretty much anything that can possibly be done in Maple can, will, and has been done in it as far as hacking and crap go.

Sadly, after playing this game for so many years. I found out that on every patch, I get more dissapointed. after every event, hackers finding a way to get the most of it, and they win doing it. after every patch of making our classes stronger, hackers getting stronger. after every hard bossing comming, nexon makes the legit have hard time. while the hackers can just fade the hard parts and kill the boss that actually dropping the items.

Today, some hacker in our server started to smega that he's selling von leon items. Since I could solo von leon pre-glitch (nexon fixing glitches slowly eh?) I went to try, I got crashed still. i have no idea how the hacker killing von leon, my guess is that he's going with like 18 battle mage and tele it to death b4 the crash.

Well, I tried KMS PvP and so far no hacks have been explained.
