Soloing Von Leon

Hey there.

I was wondering if it'd be possible to solo or if not, duo Von Leon with a 17x NL friend of mine. I'm a level 179 WH and i hit roughly 130k WAB on bosses such as Anego or GB, so i'm assuming i'd hit less on Von Leon due to the PDR.

If the time limit is not a problem, i'd like tips on the general strategy from some of the members that have solo'd in the past on this forum.

I know the animations and how to deal with the general attacks he throws out, but as for strategy from observing YT videos, i'd lure him to the left and go all out, let him summon his golems and heal up until he maxes out on boar spawn. From here on i'd just WAB away and deal with my deaths until he dies.

Am I missing anything? Thanks for your time.

It is definitely possible. MarksmanByran on here has done several Von Leon solo runs (think he still does, dunno for sure).

I solo on my Marksman and wild hunter almost every day when I have time ^

You should hit around 110k ish on VL with WaB (approx). I hit around 100k on my WH and can barely make the time limit, but I also lure mobs with a rusher. You'd be cutting it pretty close, especially if it takes over 5minutes to max out rhino spawns.

Ah I was hoping you'd post.
I just attempted a run and disconnected midway since my internet crapped out, but it wasn't like I was making much progress. There were a few things that I knew made my run unsuccessful.
Firstly, my damage on Von Leon was around 90k tops with FB on, so i've completely misjudged how much i'd do on him, even with 30% boss. Not to mention with only 7k HP on my jaguar, I can barely take 2 body hits from Von Leon. I also found it difficult to get WAB to hit Von Leon when i'm swarmed with rhinos, but i'm guessing this is where the rusher comes in? (playing two characters at once? Impressive!).
Once I had maxed out the rhino spawns, the constant interruptions meant I could not keep WAB up to deal sufficient damage and not to mention the damage I was taking.
I'll take a look at that video in more detail for now.

Only 90k D:? I have 15% ignore PDR so I guess that helps a lot.
Yes, I use the rusher to keep the mobs away so I can attack him from the side and not take touch damage xD
