PROBLEM with passwords
#1
Ok, so my sister was using my computer earlier and I figure she probably hit some keys or something that pineappleed up my computer.... I've seen this problem somewhere (not here that i remember) but can't remember what fixed it

Problem: When I try to type in a password field it records me typing multiple chars for each key and no its not my keyboards settings on key repeat as it only applies to password fields

I can type normally but when it comes to password fields it seems to think the key i pressed was 2-6 chars long I tried restarting multiple times even using the device reset way (hold the power button down for 30 secs), using system restore to prior to my problems (which still persist), and using a different web browser, though oddly enough the password field on southperry works just fine....

I am running windows XP home edition SP3 fully updated on a gateway m520 notebook with a p4 with ht processor (if more specs are needed i will edit them in)

Are the issue in such a way that the key you're hitting have the same amount of chars every time you hit it?

I have yet to try out the same number of chars being typed per key press but as far as i know the p key makes 3 chars appear (typed "password" many times trying to get into my modem though it affects other password fields like target's but not those of southperry or maple) but for the most part i think its the order that affects it as in the first key makes 3 appear no matter what key is pressed

just tried it pressing random keys as the first position and it seems to always give the same pattern 3-2-2-2-3-3-2 (end of the password field so not sure on last number) I tested it with all s and all a and yielded that same pattern
