I noticed something weird. Auto aggro monsters don't automatically attack/follow you anymore.

It's really not surprising that they forgot to add them to the effect sets. I'd say that's reportable!

Personally, I plan to make myself one of the 77 1H Swords and a Crushed Skull.

Just got the exact same error. Why would they let more people in than they can hold?
Maybe they didn't adjust the total to the amount of new users? Or they just don't want to clog the server?

Whatever it is, it's kind of annoying. How can you expect people to test the game if it isn't open?

Plus... 5*9 = 45 scrolls per weapon, * 10000 = 450,000 maple leaves to perf. a weapon. Or 45*4 = 180 lv.64 maple weapons (assuming 5 coins per weapon)

Hopefully the maple weapons drop like crazy...

Normally, just went to kenta and got the quest and being a Bowmaster.

I'm not sure where your math for the leaves comes from, but I'd go with a CS for availability i.e. cost-effectiveness.
For one, we don't know when we'd get the boom-preventing scrolls, and, as you said, it'd cost a lot of money along the way to do so.

I wouldn't count on VIP weapons being re-released and am not one for eternally waiting to see what might come out in the future. Not in this game.
With that mindset, you should never, ever use any scrolls because something new will inevitably come out in KMS shortly after you scroll your perfect weapon.

In fact, the release cycle for Maplestory is one of the most frustrating things about the game and indeed the reason I've about given up on it. There's no thrill in anything that GMS gets when it is almost immediately trumped by something in KMS. I was going to start scrolling Red Katanas, but then the level 77 weapon shows up.

Not yet, anyways. I mean depending on how long we're waiting for the NX Shields, if we even get them, you'll have plenty of time to make a good deal of 120-130 swords in hope for one of them to be 3line at least.

each 20% scroll is 20 coins, each coin is 500 maple leaves, going by averages, 1 out of 5 scrolls will pass, and your weapon has 9~10 slots total, so it's 5*500*20 equals 50 k leaves per slot, 450~500k leaves for 9~10 slots every maple weapon is 1, 3, or 5 coins depending of their level (35, 45?, and 64) so there.

If you're going to use NX Shields then, sure, go that way. There's no reason not to do so.
Go with a Von Leon Sabre, scroll it 10 times, and voila: 180 W.Atk.

Thing is, I'm at the point where I'm rather sick of paying for NX as it is, and I don't spend that much on this game.
I mean, I'm gonna assume the protect scrolls will be at least 4k NX.

Best case scenario - All scrolls pass, meaning you only need 10 NX Shields.
10 scrolls x 4k NX = 40k NX = $40 = 800m mesos (1:20)

Worst case scenario (if the law of averages plays God) - Every fifth scroll passes, meaning you need 50 NX shields
50 scrolls x 4k NX = 200k NX = $200 = 4bil mesos

That's assuming they're that cheap (which, if they work in such a way, they won't be).
Also keep in mind that the "worst case scenario" is not actually the worst case.
Getting the weapon won't be the issue at all; scrolling it will be.
This game is not nearly interesting enough for me to ever be tempted to spend that much on it.

Gotcha. I had no idea what the 'conversion rate' was.

20% passes on average at the 5th try (0.2^-1), like it takes on average ten 10% scrolls to get one to work (0.1^-1), or two 50% scrolls (0.5^-1). So 10 scrolls per slot is the "average scenario". Worst case would be like 10-20 shields per slot.
