(I decided to change gears a bit and make a story in a more traditional format. Every so often I will add to the plot in sections as edits and with larger additions being episodes/ chapters.)
Episode 1
Kyril is a young man who comes from the suburbs on the outskirts of Castleia city. At the age of 10, he has learned much while in school but is about to learn much more, as today is to be the start of his pokemon journey. There had been occasional urban rumors of undead monsters running wild in other regions but those places where far away and of no concern at the moment. The vast majority of the Unova populace merely dismisses the rumors as hoaxes and rowdy teenagers.
Leo, a Dewott had also been looking forward to this day, for he was to be Kyrils partner. Finally after waiting for so long, they were both on their way to professor Junipers lab so that Kyril could receive his pokedex!
Upon entering the lab, the professor cheerfully greets Kyril, "You must be the new trainer, great!" (she hands over a pokedex) "Welcome to the world of pokemon, I am sure that...." She is cut off by an urgent sounding beep at a computer. As she pauses her speech, she scrolls through some data on the screen with an unsettling look in her eyes.
She speaks again, "Kyril, would you mind coming with me on an errand? Its probably nothing serious but I would not mind having a bodyguard around."
Of course Kyril agrees right away. (he also returns Dewott to his pokeball for safe keeping)
"Excellent! I have already booked a private flight to Kanto. Today you may just get to meet the legendary professor Oak!" She smiles before grabbing some things and the two set off.
Professor Juniper seemed a little bit too prepared to leave at that moment but Kyril did not care. This was the perfect way to kick off his journey! Maybe he would even get a chance to capture some rare Kanto pokemon..
The plane touched down near Pallet town and they went in search of the professor. But something was wrong. Houses were boarded up and people in the streets would run for cover at the mere sight of them. Juniper knew that Pallet town had fallen on hard times but this was ridiculous.
More disappointment came their way as Oak was nowhere to be found in his lab. Professor Juniper shook her head and said, "He must have gone to visit professor Elm. Lets go there next." She sounded worried for some reason. At this rate Kyril was never going to get to catch any wild pokemon.
A short time later, Kyril and professor Juniper landed in a field outside of New bark town. The sun was starting to go down now and it made for a pretty scene out over the water. After knocking on the door to Professor Elm's lab he invites them both in.
Leading them inside he speaks calmly, "So what brings you two all the way out here?"
Juniper responds, (clearly very nervous) "I, I need to ask you something professor." She was acting strangely Kyril thought.
Elm grinned widely and raised an eyebrow above his glasses, "Yes?"
"Its about professor Oak, I have a really bad feeling that something has happened to him."
Professor Elm frowned at the mention of Oak, "Him?! Gargh! I hate that guy!!"
In an instant, there is a chilling breeze and a cool voice says "I'm sorry to hear you say that, perhaps you would, consider a change of heart?!"
An arm bursts out of Elm's chest while clutching his still beating heart! Juniper and Kyril are frozen in shock! The arm pulls out of professor Elm as he crumples to the floor! A shaggy and pale professor Oak bites into the heart as if it were a large bell pepper. With an evil sparkle in his eye, Oak laughs maniacally as blood drips from his fangs!
Episode 2
"Dam you Oak!!" Elm shouts before looking in Kyril and Junipers direction. "Avenge....me..." (Elm dies)
Professor Juniper merely looks at the ground with her eyes hidden by her hair. "Professor Oak, you're not thinking clearly. Come along quietly and we will get you some help."
(Vampire Oak continues to laugh)
Juniper reaches into her bag and whips out a bottle of special water, which she slings at Oak! However, he manages to dodge it with a bizarre amount of speed and the holy water splashes harmlessly onto the floor! Vampire Oak bears his fangs and hisses!!
Two of Elm's lab assistants come down the stairs to see what all the commotion is about. After spotting the body, they turn around to go for help but Vampire Oak is upon them within seconds! He cleanly rips both assistants heads off and drops them over the steps!
Professor Juniper shrieks, "Now you've gone too far!" She pulls out a sharp wooden stake and charges at Vampire Oak! Knowing that he cant ignore such a threat, Oak lunges at her! Juniper barely manages to duck out of the way and stabs at Vampire Oak! He avoids the weapon and swipes at her head!
Kyril wanted to throw out Dewott and help fight Vampire Oak but this was all a bit too intense for him. The best that he could manage was to not pee his pants. Juniper and Oak exchange more blows with Vampire Oak steadily gaining ground. It would only take one mistake for him to get a chance to fatally wound Juniper.
Unable to get a clear shot from the front, Juniper takes a chance and rolls around to spring up behind Vampire Oak! She pokes him with the stake from behind and Vampire Oak screeches in pain! If she is able to hit his heart, than he would turn into a pile of dust!
But from behind him her aim was not quite good enough. Vampire Oak regains his composure and pulls the stake out of his back! He screams, "ITS OVER!" as he darts behind professor Juniper and grabs her in a head lock! She struggles to get him off with both arms but is unsuccessful!
"That was a nice try my dear but I'm afraid that you are not much of slayer." She continues to try and break free but with Junipers neck exposed, Vampire Oak opens his mouth wide and grow his fangs even longer!
He bites down but stops suddenly, as if biting into a moldy piece of broccoli without realizing it. "Aaagh, it burns!" Vampire Oak squeals in pain. He stumbles around grabbing at his face.
"I may not be much of a vampire slayer but I am a pretty good professor." Juniper feels at her neck for just how close of call of that was. Then says, " I havent eaten anything but garlic for days, garlic cereal, garlic sandwiches, garlic juice. My blood is probably 50% garlic right now! Here, why don't you have a drink to wash that down with?" Juniper takes out another bottle of holy water and flings it at Vampire Oak!
The bottle breaks and the water sizzles and smokes on contact! "This isnt over!" He howls defiantly. "That garlic effect will wear off eventually and when it does, your mine!" Vampire Oak hisses once more and jumps out of the nearest window!
"He's right you know. According to my calculations I only have about an hour or two left of protection." With her hair a mess and lab coat torn, Juniper walks over to Kyril, who stands motionless.
She bends down in front of him and grabs him by the shoulders, "KYRIL! You're not a little kid anymore, now you are a full-fledged pokemon trainer!" (this seems to snap Kyril out of his shock)
"But, but what do we do now? Professor Oak killed professor Elm!" He sniffles
Professor Juniper bravely looks Kyril in the eyes, "I'm going to go after Vampire Oak. With some luck I might be able to kill or capture him. I want you to go and try to find the other pokemon professors and warn them." (She hands over a pokeball and stands back up)
"After you meet with them, we will all regroup back at my lab in Unova and try to come up with a plan." (she sort of trails off with a dreamy look on her face) "I wish that I had a lesbian girlfriend who could use magic and help me hunt vampires." Juniper smiles.
Kyril tries to get her attention, "PROFESSOR! How can I reach the others?!"
She comes back to her senses "Ahem, that pokeball contains a Swellow that you can hold onto. He should be able to get you to the other labs and back to Nuvema town without any problems." Professor Juniper looks at her watch and picks up her bag.
(Starscream joins Kyrils party!)
"Don't worry about me, I will see you back at my lab. Good luck Kyril!" She runs past the two decapitated bodies and out into the night...
Episode 3
"I guess the closest to here would be professor Birch in Littleroot town. Starscream, I choose you!" (Swellow comes out of its pokeball)
"Get us to Hoenn, on the double." Kyril saddles up and Swellow takes off. It is probably just as well that it is still dark because otherwise it would be too dangerous to be flying around out in the open like this.
Starscream accelerates over the countryside of Johto and soon is soaring over the ocean. Kyril remembers that he does not know exactly where Hoenn is but does not worry about it since Swellow already seems to know the way. After a mere half hour of flight, Littleroot town comes into view.
While gliding in for a landing, Kyril can see burning trees and destroyed buildings. "Hopefully we will be able to find the professor and get out of here quickly." But no sooner than he had said that was Kyril proven wrong.
Birches lab was in front of them but blocking the entrance was a large mob of zombies, pokemon zombes and Werewolves. They seemed to be trying to force their way in but something was preventing them from going in. Kyril instructs Swellow to circle around until he can figure out what is going on.
In front of the entrance stands a lone Hitmonchan with his back to the door. Floodlights illuminate the area in the dark but do not seem to scare off the mob. The Hitmonchan looks tough but against this many monsters it could be in trouble, oddly enough no one is moving. Its almost as if the fighting pokemon is trying to stare down the entire crowd of monsters single handed. Hitmonchan slowly reaches for the door without breaking his gaze. He feels around for the keypad that will open the lock. But now he has a problem, with his big gloved hand he will have to take his eyes off of the crowd in order to properly put in the code.
A bead of sweat drops down Hitmonchans forehead at the same time as a glob of drool drops out of a werewolfs open mouth. Kyril had a feeling that if the Hitmonchan got killed, he would never be able to find professor Birch. (whispering to Swellow) "Come on, we have to try and help him!" Kyril says pulling out a pokeball but Swellow only looks at the Hitmonchan. Swellow holds out a wing to stop Kyril and shakes his head "no".
Hitmonchan turns his face and manages to put in half of the code but when he looks back again the nearest creatures spring into the air to attack! To everyones surprise, the Hitmonchan grins! For some strange reason, music from F-zero's Mute city track starts playing from somewhere!
3 Werewolves lunge but Hitmonchan jumps straight up to evade! The werewolves sharp claws slice into each other instead! 2 more Werewolves leap at Hitmonchan from both sides in the air! Utilizing Fire punch, Hitmonchan gut punches one of the wolves that then bursts into a huge fireball. With the flaming werewolf still on his fist, Hitmonchan swings it at the other one and both werewolves explode into a cloud of fire and fur!
As Hitmonchan starts losing altitude from his jump, 5 zombie Zigzagoons try to tear into him! Hitmonchan uses Mach punch to fly towards the ground, jump back up again and smash each of the zombies in one stroke! A Werewolf leaps onto Hitmonchans back and slams him into the dirt! The other zombies try to close in while Hitmonchan is down!
But he wont let them! Using up a good chunk of his energy, Hitmonchan launches a Fire punch that tears up the ground beneath him which he uses to break free! Flaming up both fists this time, he jump corkscrew punches the werewolf that had been on him and regains his footing!
The Werewolf yelps as its burning body flys into the gathered zombies who in turn catch on fire! The last werewolf in the crowd runs around the rear and slashes at Hitmonchans back! The fighting pokemon goes down on one knee in pain, but clenches his teeth as he plans out his counter attack.
Hitmonchan spins around and launces an all-out Close Combat to the Werewolves face! Besides breaking the beasts bones with each strike, the final blow sends the Werewolf flying 70 feet in the air! Using up his last bit of stamina, Hitomonchan lets loose a flurry of Mach punches that the remaining zombies cannot even perceive! He appears as only an afterimage as his punches KO zombie after zombie! Finally the entire crowd is defeated!
With huge gashes in his back and panting heavily, Hitmonchan limps over to the keypad to finish inputting the code. Swellow lands besides him and lets Kyril off. "That was awesome!! There had to have been at least 40 of those things!"
The Hitmonchan grins as he finishes the code and the metal door slides open. A bone chilling howl can be heard in the distance. The smell of blood and bodies must be attracting more creatures! Unfortunately Hitmonchan is exhausted and faints inside the lab. Looking out from inside, Kyril spots more zombies coming this way. No one else is in the lab, not even any assistants.
His pupils shrink to tiny size, "Holy platypus pineapple pomegranate" There are at least 400 "things" barreling down toward the lab. Kyril desperately pushes buttons on the indoor keypad to reclose the door! It closes but he knows that it will not hold them forever.
"Leo! I choose you!" Dewott emerges from his ball. "Help Swellow barricade the door! I will use a pokeball to catch Hitmonchan so that i can heal him with one of these machines." They manage to block the door and Hitmonchan is successfully captured. As Hitmonchans pokeball sits in the recovery machine, Kyril spots a disk that it had apparently dropped.
After putting the disk into a pc, a familiar face appears on a screen. "I know him from my books at school. Professor Rowan?"
Episode 4
The recorded image of Rowan begins to speak, "Professor Birch, the situation has become more critical than we could have ever imagined. Sinnoh is overrun with zombes and my assistants tell me that Werewolves have been sighted in Hoenn. You must exercise extreme caution because if you are bitten by one of these creatures, there is a high probability that you will become one of them. If the zombies and werewolves meet then then there is a chance that they could eliminate each other but if they decide to work together instead then all of humanity and pokemon kind may be doomed."
"I am on my way to your lab right now but just in case something goes wrong, I have given this Hitmonchan a copy of the instructions for what I think could be our last and best hope. With any luck I should be right behind him though, so I will see you shortly." The recording stops and the screen cuts off.
Kyril was thinking out loud, "Our last hope? I wonder what he meant by that?" Dewott shrugs his shoulders.
"Well we have to do something and hanging around here is not going to be an option for much longer." The monsters outside had begun scraping at the door. "I wish that one of the professors was here."
(a partially transparent outline of professor Rowan floats into the lab through a solid wall. He looks a bit like a hologram out of Megaman X)
With a severely serious look on his face, the figure of Rowan says, "This is quite the pineappled up mess that we have gotten ourselves into."
Kyril, Dewott and Swellow stare in disbelief. Rowans outline begins speaking again, "Do not be alarmed, although you should know that I am not a hologram." (he takes in a breath)
"I had wanted to come here and work with professor Birch to try and figure out a solution to all of this but that is no longer possible. I bumped into him a little ways up the street there but I could tell right away that something was wrong. Unfortunately I had managed to find him just before he transformed into a werewolf."
"Rather rudely, he then proceeded to rip my body apart into bite sized pieces and that is the last thing that I can remember." The ghost of Rowan pauses before speaking again.
"On the bright side, I was fortunate enough not to be turned into a beast like him (he sighs) but this does ruin my original plans, I suppose we will have to resort to using plan b."

Unfortunately Hitmonchan is exhausted and faints inside the lab. Looking out from inside, Kyril spots more zombies coming this way. No one else is in the lab, not even any assistants.
His pupils shrink to tiny size, "Holy platypus pineapple pomegranate" There are at least 400 "things" barreling down toward the lab. Kyril desperately pushes buttons on the indoor keypad to reclose the door! It closes but he knows that it will not hold them forever.
"Leo! I choose you!" Dewott emerges from his ball. "Help Swellow barricade the door! I will use a pokeball to catch Hitmonchan so that i can heal him with one of these machines." They manage to block the door and Hitmonchan is successfully captured. As Hitmonchans pokeball sits in the recovery machine, Kyril spots a disk that it had apparently dropped.
After putting the disk into a pc, a familiar face appears on a screen. "I know him from my books at school. Professor Rowan?"
Episode 4
The recorded image of Rowan begins to speak, "Professor Birch, the situation has become more critical than we could have ever imagined. Sinnoh is overrun with zombes and my assistants tell me that Werewolves have been sighted in Hoenn. You must exercise extreme caution because if you are bitten by one of these creatures, there is a high probability that you will become one of them. If the zombies and werewolves meet then then there is a chance that they could eliminate each other but if they decide to work together instead then all of humanity and pokemon kind may be doomed."
"I am on my way to your lab right now but just in case something goes wrong, I have given this Hitmonchan a copy of the instructions for what I think could be our last and best hope. With any luck I should be right behind him though, so I will see you shortly." The recording stops and the screen cuts off.
Kyril was thinking out loud, "Our last hope? I wonder what he meant by that?" Dewott shrugs his shoulders.
"Well we have to do something and hanging around here is not going to be an option for much longer." The monsters outside had begun scraping at the door. "I wish that one of the professors was here."
(a partially transparent outline of professor Rowan floats into the lab through a solid wall. He looks a bit like a hologram out of Megaman X)
With a severely serious look on his face, the figure of Rowan says, "This is quite the pineappled up mess that we have gotten ourselves into."
Kyril, Dewott and Swellow stare in disbelief. Rowans outline begins speaking again, "Do not be alarmed, although you should know that I am not a hologram." (he takes in a breath)
"I had wanted to come here and work with professor Birch to try and figure out a solution to all of this but that is no longer possible. I bumped into him a little ways up the street there but I could tell right away that something was wrong. Unfortunately I had managed to find him just before he transformed into a werewolf."
"Rather rudely, he then proceeded to rip my body apart into bite sized pieces and that is the last thing that I can remember." The ghost of Rowan pauses before speaking again.
"On the bright side, I was fortunate enough not to be turned into a beast like him (he sighs) but this does ruin my original plans, I suppose we will have to resort to using plan b."
