Warrior Question =X

KajitiSouls Wrote:@ Devil's Sunrise (Mondays) that's a bit... advanced for a long-time Mage/fresh Arch Mage, don't you think? That's only if you wanted to be no-DEX anyways, I think Will still has room for error as a low-DEX. I also did calculations, and you benefit a LOT more by having accuracy than having more attack power. Unless you upgrade about 10-15 watk with little sacrifice to accuracy.

To which post do you refer to? The first is indeed advanced, the other should be fairly simple.

Devil's Sunrise Wrote:The goal is not to stop at the needed amount, but getting the most accuracy with no amount of damage sacrificed.

Damage sacrificed would for example be having a 70% hitrate with 5000 max dmg, compared to having a 100% hitrate with 3600 as max damage. However (Though this will possibly never happen), if you have a 50% chance of dealing an average damage of 7000 damage, this would be better in the long run as long you deal less than 3500 on average with 100% hitrate chance.

That is not factorting KBs and the like-
Plus a 50% hitrate is an average one could easily hit 10 times in a row
or miss with a 50% hitrate-
So really a high hit rate not only stabilizes damage, but also training potting etc etc.
Which is important to me at leastGlitter

^ I agree with Chompy. The OP doesn't have much funds to start with, and it doesn't help to bleed him dry due to monster damage. He's also way more likely to afford accuracy gear (stuff like DEX gloves and DEX Icarus Capes) than watk gear anyways.

I stated that this was in the long run, not per-hit.

I'm interested in seeing options where your damage is doubled instead of adding acc to 100% though. There may be none. I think it's given that acc is worth more than attack any day to increase damage if you don't 100% hit.

Edit: And when we're at it, I'm only talking about raw damage-power. E.g. for me, overalls with strength will never be an option, I'll prefer the speed from bottoms over it any second but stationary monsters.

Why can't everyone just get both accuracy and gear? =D I'm 23 base dex with 151 base accuracy with a str top/dex bottom, attack gloves, face stompers, str cape, and purely attack scrolled weapon. 164 accuracy if I use my dex overall. Once I get a HT pend, I simply have WAY too much accuracy. Approx 173 acc top/bot, 187 acc w/ overall, assuming I get an average one. Giving up damage for accuracy is a waste of having less dex imo. If you really can't afford better gear, then get more dex.

Note : If you look at my char in my sig, in game, or anywhere else, I'm usually wearing my overall for looks, not for its accuracy. I normally wear an ugly ass top/bottom and invisable hat when I train/boss, but it's too ugly to have on normally. =P

Yeah that was rhetorical xD But as I stated, if they can't afford the equips to boost their accuracy without sacrificing damage, then they minus well get more dex and just settle for less base str. The damage difference would only really be notable for serious/hardcore gamers, and if they were really hardcore about it, they'd be able to afford the gear. I consider myself semi-hardcore in that when I play I really put thought and effort into it, but I don't grind for hours a day all the time or anything, and right now I'm on somewhat of a break for school and such.Glitter
