Many had thought that the zombie outbreak was finally over. However, for some unkown reason it has returned stronger than ever and not only that but it has nearly taken over every corner of the globe! Unova remains one of the few places that have not fallen but the situation in other regions grows more dire by the day.
You may ask, what is a zombie and why should I be worried? A zombie is a person, animal or pokemon that has been infected in one way or another. Depending on the severity of an infection, a zombie loses around 99% of its ability to think and instead is only driven by the hunger to eat the brains of others. (altough there are exceptions) Zombies are usually slow and lack reflexs but are relatively unkill-able. Even when dismembered or otherwise injured, given enough time a zombie will pull itself back together and continue its search for fresh brains.
These facts are made more complicated when considering zombie pokemon. In some cases their original type and weaknesses remain even after zombifacation. Meaning it is possible to deal greater damage to one and make it take a very long time before it can get back up.
It was long rumored that the infection originated in the labs of Silph co. but the sheer magnitude of the recent outbreak suggests that other companies and/or people could be involved.
The zombies attack by boat and by plane but thankfully most wild water pokemon have simply gone away rather than risk being infected.
The Unova Elite 4, champion and gym leaders guard the Mistralton airport around the clock even at this very moment:
A large cargo plane touches down on the runway as Alder nervously looks over at his allies. Caitlin pokes her head out of her sleeping bag and looks at the plane.
"Why dont we just blow the darn thing up and save ourselves the trouble?" She asks before yawning.
Alder responds, "No we cant do that. There is a chance that one of these planes will be carrying the food and supplies that our people need!"
(Caitlin eyes the plane sleepily)
As they all watch the rear of the cargo plane open, everyone hopes that Alder is right this time. However, zombies can be seen exiting the plane in the distance. The group lets out a loud groan.
Alder walks up and down the assembled line of Gym leaders and elite 4 members with his big hair blowing in the wind. He shouts, "They can take our pokeballs and they can take our land but they will never take, OUR FREEDOM!!" (He holds up a pokeball)
The trainers charge at the aircraft ready to not let even one zombie get past them. It has been this way for days now, sometimes the ariplanes bring much needed supplies but other times they are full of nothing but infected passengers. So far the strongest trainers in Unova have been successful in keeping the region zombie free.
All boats and water vessels are forbidden from even approaching Unova after what has been classified as, The Pony incident.
It was a calm day like any other and officer Jenny was on patrol off of the coast of Castelia city. The port town had some of the best water security in the world.
At Jennys disposal today where 4 patrol boats, each equipped with a heavy duty chain gun for fending off pirates. Travel restrictions where reducing the food supply but it was nothing serious at the moment. When a large freighter shows up not very far from shore, Jenny and her subordinates move in to investigate.
The freighter is stacked high with enormous shipping crates. This could be the supply boost that the region had been hoping for but no one onboard the ship responds when called to.
She had a bad feeling about this. A ship of that size should at least have a maintenance crew around. One of the patrol boats approaches the freighter and a lone officer climbs aboard. He peers around corners and shouts but there seems to be nothing here. After a good half hour of searching, the officer still comes up empty. While he is on his way back to the patrol boat and the others, a thought comes to him.
No one is here but I wonder what could be inside these containers?
On the other side of the freighter, Jenny is about to call this search off and return to base when panicked screaming can be heard coming toward them!
The officer that had gone aboard ran back into view and leaped back onto one of the smaller boats, ignoring the ladder. This jump breaks his leg but he does not yell, instead his face is frozen with a look of complete terror.
Jenny shakes him, "What is it?! What did you see?! He manages to murmur a few words: "My little, little. My little pony.." Jenny slaps him on the cheek! "You're not making any sense!" She says with urgency.
He blinks and says "Ponytas and other horse type pokemon, everywhere. Something wrong with them." Hoofs can be heard on the freighter deck coming closer!
With a look of horror, Jenny spots the zombie horses trotting around the corner! Normally the police practically never use their firearms but she knew that there was a chance that these zombies could get powered up if her men tried to use thier fire types "Attack!" she screams, "But do not use your pokemon!!"
Jennys patrol fills the ponies full of lead but their small arms have minimal effect. They have the advantage of distance but the zombies where closing the gap fast. More of them where appearing by the second, there had to be at least 50 of them on the freighter now.
"Its no use, we are no match for them. Everyone back off and use the chain guns to try and sink it!" Jennys patrol boats move away from the large ship and open fire! After several minutes of concentrated blasting, the hull is punctured and the freighter begins to sink! The zombie ponies continue to roam around on the slanted deck!
"Lets just pray to Arceus that none of those things know how to swim.."
After this close call, all water travel to and from Unova is forbidden.
Incoming boats are ordered to turn away or risk being sunk. Unfortunetly this did not help the supply problem.
In an effort to solve this dillema and possibly track down the origin of the infection, Professor Juniper sends out one last desperate call to any trainers who might be able to help put a stop to this once and for all!
Rules:
Regardless of what happens, all pokemon centers are automatically safe zones and you cannot be killed while inside. (for example, at the start of this rp, Johto is considered zombie area so if you started from there you could be killed by a zombie as soon as you step foot out of the center but you would reappear there after your death.)
If you should die, you go back to the nearest pokemon center.
You may begin from any pokemon center in any region BUT keep in mind that only Unova is zombie free at the start.
You start with 1 pokemon (must be from Unova) and can find/ capture a maximum of 6.(can be from any region)
Legendaries are allowed to be captured but you cannot be given one and it has to make sense for your trainer to be able to capture it. (no master balls)
No controlling each other without permission
No sex scenes
Rock, ghost and Steel types have extra resistance to the zombies.
Loosely follows the logic of the games but its also not very serious.

Personality: Pretty mature for his age but can also sort of be scatterbrained. He can be Fierce but also very humble.
History: Kyril had been really looking forward to finally getting his first pokemon. He was an ace in the battle simulators and his family already had a Dewott that he would be able to use. Little does he know that his journey is about to begin at such a dangerous time.
