Xbox 360 without online: Is it worth it?
#1
Okay lets try not to get a warez infraction: Assuming i could get all the games i wanted for the 360 for free, but there's a cost to that: i cannot use xbox live ever, would it be worth it to make this sacrifice? Lets do a poll.

No. I mean, what's the point of a 360 or a PS3 then?

Everyone could live without online play before the Xbox Live... Why can't everything be like those split-screen days? Frown

Lets take this into consideration: i don't have much money these times.

If you don't have money, you shouldn't even consider online. You have to pay. You knew that right? Rolleyes

EDIT: I think I see your point. Well, if you want online, but don't have money to pay for it... get a PS3.

And this is why PS3 and Wii are superior in the Online Play aspect (not so much Wii... but at least the internet is free).

Personally, I would say it's worth it. If you like XBox and the games there are out for it, get it. Online play isn't the ONLY aspect to gaming. I would leave all online play to computer games. XD

Otherwise, find a few friends to play with.

My friend plays stealth patched games on his modded console all the time. You don't have to give it up, you just run the risk of getting console banned, which then you can't go online with. Then you lose the money from paying for Xbox Live.

Decided to get a ps3. Now would it be more worth it to get a 160 or a 320 gb?

Depends how many games you're going to get. Going off of your limited budget, I'd say a 160 gb.

50 more bucks seriously doesn't matter. what i'd want to know is: how many space does a game/movie usually take?

It depends on the game. GTA IV takes around 3.4 GB, RDR and LBP take around 500 MB, but there're games like God of War 3 that need around 5 MB.

0 GB, if you play it from the disc...

Btw, so you're not going to use online features, since you dont have interwebz on a console? But still you buy a PS3?

x360 has more singleplayer games, including the new Fable III and Alan Wake... Also, Assassin's Creed runs better (better image quality - check youtube for comparision) on an x360, because the coding (for quickly porting it) is simpler on the x360... odd choice m8... o.0

x360 Slim 4GB costs 189 euro (use cheap 10 dollar USB Flash drives for infinite, portable storage)
x360 Slim 250GB costs 239 euro
x360 Slim 4GB + Kinect costs 279 euro (ideal for off-line gaming?)
ps3 Slim 120GB costs 269 euro

Well... your choice... Smile

The Wii is the only table console I'd mod from this gen. The PS3 and the XBox 360 don't deserve to be modded.
