Was the crimsonwood auto-ban glitch fixed?

i didnt play for the last week, but i saw that there was a server check yesterday... did it fix the auto ban glitches? i wanna go back to train there but im afraid of getting banned...

The autoban is caused because wrong patched Map.wz,if you dont have the rope on the entrance of first map,Bent Tree,then leave CwK

The auto-ban is actually doing its job properly in this case, so they can't fix it during a server maintenance. :f6:

It is detecting that you don't have the right map data, so it punishes you the same way it would if you had been editing your own maps for malicious purposes. In this case, however, some of us had the wrong map data because we used the manual patcher and trusted it to also work properly.

The fix for this will be reinstalling the game or otherwise obtaining a good map.wz. I suspect that people who don't do this early will be forced to at the next patch, because the patcher probably won't work correctly on the bad data.

I didn't. I was in NLC the entire time I was on today. Sent a ticket to Nexon in frustration.

That's not the point though. He's been unfairly banned and whatnot. I'd say that's pretty unfair... he's been in CWK for 3 days without getting banned and then randomly gets banned today. It just seems as if even though it looks like you wont get banned, you can still get banned, making going into CWK even more unappealing.

I'd probably be training there/collecting badges, but right now, with me potentially going to a different server, Im afraid to even step into it, let alone go all the way to train and whatnot...

I've been training there for 2 days and I'm not banned yet. BigFoot wooped my ass 5 times in 30 mins lmao...... Im gonna attempt a real solo soon, but I was talking on the phone and trying to solo an OHKO boss at the same time...... hard lmao. I found a way to solo him pretty easy with assassinate and boomstep

Then you die or scroll back to town, and happily walk into Bent Tree on your way back to your favorite training spot, and POW! "Enjoy your ban."

if the banning happened inside one of the glitched maps then as soon as you log in again you will land on that same map and get banned again, its basicly an infinite loop banning.

note: i dont know if this is really whats going to happen but if i was you i would not be very optimistic right now...

ya i didnt think about that lol, just download the v60 entire client from maple global site and all the problems should be gone.

Way ahead of you all. Did that immediately after reading this thread and posting yesterday. Nexon still hasn't responded to my ticket though.

I logged in for about half an hour today on my character LakeMyst and spent a while in Phantom Forest killing Headless Horseman and some Elder Wraiths. I was not hacking or engaging in any other sort of illegal activity. I didn't even run any third-party programs in the background such as Fraps. I tried to log in several hours later, but I discovered that my account had been auto-banned for one day. I've read on the MapleStory forum I frequent about other cases of innocent people being banned in Phantom Forest. Apparently it's caused by having patched the wrong version of Map.wz, but of course I have no way to verify if I have the right version now.

Normally, this would not be a big deal, but this 24-hour temporary ban, if carried out, will cause me to miss a day of attendance for the "perfect attendance" quest. This is upsetting, because not only am I unable to play on my account for a day, but I miss out on the reward for a two-week long quest without intentionally doing anything against the Terms of Service.

Could you please verify if my assumption is correct, and try to unban my account if possible? Thank you.

I wasn't asking about my freaking rankings, I was concerned about my lunchbox, dammit! If you could have unbanned me about 12 hours earlier, I would be satisfied >_> I hate how they don't even consider that anyone temp-banned could be innocent. I get treated like I was actually doing something illegal, but now that I've "done my time" I'm free to go. No apologies or anything. If I was actually hacking, I think I would deserve a permanent ban, or at least something beyond 24 hours. Is there even any point to banning someone for 24 hours other than to pineapple with their attendance quest completion?
