Scoured the forums, poked the magician discussions, raised hell, still can't find an answer. Pardon me/link me if I've overlooked something.
Yes, I'm well aware that people say it's % of your magic attack, but I haven't seen it confirmed first-hand anywhere, just parroted speculations.
So help me with this one, guys-- post-BB, what on earth is the %magic potential stat? Prior to BB, of course, it was a percent based off your total magic stat, but that stat is gone from the stat window.
Does it only affect your total m.atk, with all m.atk off of equips?
Does it affect the m.atk on your weapon alone?
or does it affect your total magic-based/int-affected range?
or has it stopped working entirely after BB, much like how % boss damage was rumored to be broken (is it? not sure about that either)?
AND does it hold as much weight as it used to, or is it more effective to cube for total damage/INT/some other stat? (sob. ;_; )
The most effective way to examine this would be to get two near-identical weapons, one without % magic and one with, of course, but I can neither find a weapon with similar m.atk to my wand (which has % magic) to borrow, nor can I find a pair of other such weapons. If you can test them first-hand, that would be hugely appreciated.
thanks, peoples.
