Maple Strange Login Problem

I'm not sure whether it's a bug related to nexon or my computer but as I seem to be the only person experiencing it might be here.

Problem:
I can open maple fine and get until the character selection, from there each characters shows a different behavior:

-My F/P, when I enter the PIN, simply does not react. It accepts the PIN (if I enter a wrong one it complains) but then it just doesn't enter into the character. Double-clicking again on the character brings the PIN window again, putting it in wields the same result but after the second try it doesn't bring the PIN window anymore.

-My priest and xbow, I can enter the PIN fine and the game will go through the character selection. After I get to my character the server just stops responding right away. I can't do any action that requires the server to respond but the game doesn't really crash (it takes a long time for it to crash).

-My bandit, I was able to play it fine a few days ago until I got a level, as soon as I did I was disconnected. When I tried going back in I got the same results as the priest and xbow.

-My assassin on Zenith, I can play just fine over there and I got until level 42 already with no problems. The only thing is that I can't access the Cash Shop (just like in all other characters), if I try to do it it just goes to black screen but does not crash, i.e. it stays in black screen but I can still alt-tab in and out without it crashing (it does crash after about a minute).


Additionally, as a last bit of information. I have reinstalled the client when it was version 0.92 in an attempt to fix my problems. Strangely enough I couldn't actually delete the folder in which maple is in (and still can't). It says the folder cannot be read when I try clicking it and that some program is using it when I try deleting. Maple is installed in another folder.

These problems started around version 0.91-0.92 and haven't changed with none of the recent SCs.

I have tried sending a ticket to nexon, the first ticket got a knowledge base response, the second one they responded that they would be looking into a solution.

Computer Specs:
Windows XP 2002, SP3
Intel Core2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13GHz 2.13GHz
2.00 GB RAM
256MB ATI Radeon X1300PRO

This may or may not sound crazy but it sounds like a networking issue. Seems what you see is the result of a connection dying out or rather, being terminated. You are able to access the login server but after that things go bad. That's what I'm getting out of this...

so the question is.... is everything on the network side of things configured properly? Describe the network you're on. Firewalls? Proxy?

Campus / Student residence internet. It behaves strangely but I was able to play normally until a few patches ago.

I don't really know the details but it does go through a shared IP (sometimes I can't download stuff from rapidshare or other sites like this) and P2P (torrents and such) are blocked.

The other strange thing about the network is that it just stops working for about 5min whenever I open Skype (and sometimes MSN) although things like maple or the IRC are not affected if they were already running before (I just can't enter a new website, but already open online radios keep working for example).

The strange thing about this problem is that it does work for my character in Zenith, I can try other servers or a other characters in Windia (maybe a new character).

Zenith is a new server right? Maybe it's not configured like the other ones. You may run into problems when they do more maintenance on that server in the future. All the 'established' servers + the cash shop server don't let you in, right? The shared IP sure is giving you problems.

Any way to use the net on something else so you can test how your internet performs? All your other settings fine, such as firewalls/antivirus?

Those are working ok. I'll do some more tests with characters on other servers and other characters in Windia.
