Stuck patching to v.93

I recently made a thread about not being able to patch to v.92 (while i was trying to run v.92 because i just downloaded it from the site, but still started to patch when i tried to launch the game). But today i saw the notice nexon posted about the v.93 manual patch. So I downloaded the v.93 manual patch and i started to patch my game. Everything went just fine (didn't get the error i got with my v.92 problem), but right before it was done patching, it got stuck at "[3/3] Applying: Maplestory.exe". No error this time: the bar just doesn't move. It's stuck for like 3 hours now. Any suggestions of how i can get it to work as soon as the game is up again?

It can't update MapleStory.exe if the game is running.

Recently, when the game crashes or disconnects, it doesn't completely exit - you need to open the Task Manager (through ctrl+alt+del or ctrl+shift+esc) and end it.

Mine did that but i didnt even have Maplestory.exe open in my processes.

When i manually closed the patcher in an attempt to restart i had to reinstall because it then said Maplestory.exe was missing. Im trying again but if the same thing happens ill just wait till the patch goes live.

I opened my Task Manager and saw that maplestory.exe was running, so i ended it. Now the patcher is still stuck at the same point, and it doesn't look like it's about to move anytime soon. Do i have to wait or can i end it with my task manager? Or do i have to redownload maple again if i end it right now (because it's almost done patching already)?

End the patcher too, and then restart it. Worked for me.

Hm. Tried it again after i ended both the patcher and the maplestory.exe files, and it's stuck at the same point again... Checked my task manager, but the only maple-related program running at the moment is the patcher. Sigh

EDIT: Noticed something weird while checking my maplestory folder... Everytime i start patching my game, a new map appears in my maplestory folder. Not just normal maps, but maps with weird names:



Has it always been like this? Maybe im just stupid, but i've never seen it before.

Ehrm,when you launch a ManualPatch,it creates a new folder.

Try to delete these folders with weird names and try again.

Just saved it there. Doesn't really matter whether it's on my desktop or in my maplestory folder, right?
And im sorry it the word 'map' is confusing, i mean folder with this. Map is how I always say it in Dutch..

@ Freezor: I deleted those folders with weird names (they were like 2.3gb each), rebooted my PC and shut down my anti-virus after that and tried to patch again, and: it worked! So thanks everyone! I hope it'll work when the game is up later today.

SwordStaker, I had the same problem but did you move GameLauncher.exe out of the Nexon folder?

I was stuck at GameLauncher.exe three times while patching but then returned it to the Nexon folder and finally completed the manual patch.

Worked fine for me. Took a while to patch tho.

I'm trying that now but so far still nothing.

Hmm this sucks. I manually patched my game yesterday while it was still down. Tried to start up my maple today and it tried to patch to v.92 again? After that i got the same error as i got in my other topic (can't change maplestory.exe because it's still in use etc.). So i uninstalled and deleted all my maplestory files, except for 2 of them (maplestory.exe and manualpatcherv93.exe). I can't delete them: everytime i try to delete them theres a popup telling me that they are still in use. They aren't running in my processes when i open my task manager. Any ideas? I have no idea how else i can see if they are running or not.

Btw: the one that was patching to v.92 was the full v.92 downloaded directly from the nexon site :x Pretty weird.

MapleSetupv93 is corrupted...
