I currently have I think patch v.85 installed on my computer, will I have to re-download MapleStory again, or can I patch straight from my version to v.93?

I would download the full client to be safe.

You cannot patch from 85 to 93. You must reinstall.

I thought that now you could patch from very old versions just by launching the client. Dunno if there is a limit to it.

At worst you could download all the manual patches between .85 and .93
