How does one upload a video that is larger than 15 minutes to youtube?

I wonder if you have to be grandfathered in or if there is some setting/if you have X amount of views you can do it.

I'm really not too sure... I've seen a crazy OoT TAS that was like 3 hours long in a single vid. I'd love to know an answer myself.

I know that companies (CNN and whatnot) can upload unlimited or something.
I know youtube partners (Smosh etc) can do something similar.

This guy in the video is a random. He has had less than 1 million views on his videos in total, but can upload 29 minute videos.

Apparently YT partners can upload longer.

Thats the "Grandfathered in" thing. The account was made before a certain rule was put in place. Because they were made before the rule, they are exempt from it.

It seems so.
I only use Utube to find/listen to music anyways, but it seems i can upload a video that's up to 15 minutes long.
