A while back the SAT essay question was "What does bravery mean to you? Use textual evidence, sciences, blah blah blah blah blah."

My friend wrote only 3 words: This is bravery.

He got a 1.

My philosophy professor had a collegue who did that for his final once before, and someone really did put "Why not?" and got a 100.

I heard about someone doing that for their college application essay, and the topic was "What is courage?". He got into the college.
