We used a lot of Jack Daniels, because we don't fck around at breakfast!

alcohol evaporates when cooked. idk about that syrup but the beer batter definitely have been somewhat stripped of its alcohol once fried.

I talked to my dad on the phone about it earlier just to confirm. He said that the Jack Daniels syrup would have almost no/no alcohol left in it, and would just taste like it.

Yeah, this is true. Despite all the alcohol they used, they won't be getting drunk off breakfast.

I'm actually curious as to how this tastes though. I don't like the taste of alcohol alone, but my family does use a lot of alcohol in their recipes (it's perfectly fine to give to children, so I've had these meals since I was a kid). Specifically, any meal with teriyaki sauce. We don't use store teriyaki sauce, because those tend to not have alcohol (I think, or maybe my family just prefers making their own).
