Mechanic Nerfs

Are they really that big of a deal? I ask because The vast majority of them simply don't matter as much as i imagine them - case in point being skills like rocket booster, where it lost roughly 80% of its damage but - was anyone intending to use it as a damaging skill to begin with? i always felt it was more the mechanics version of a vertical rush - and speaking of which, drill rush lost 1/6th of its damage but it gained 5 more targets - sounds like a win in my book. Also - the mechanic lost 200def in its first metal armor skill but, doesnt the 4th job version not stack with it? meaning that you still get your massive defense buff at 4th job, same as pre-restructuring.

The majority of the changes simply more balance the class, but in either case it still ends u being a 100% stanced', tanky long range and melee class. Are people just QQing because they downright wanted a broken class then? Still seems pretty dam broken to me as far as in concerned.

The only thing that upsets me about this is the nerf to magnetic field. that looked like a fun "im the king of the world!" type skill (where you just sit back and laugh at the destruction).

Thoughts?

I can see that they didn't list all the changes right away, as drill rush's range got nerfed as well.

i appreciate this since i didnt see this is the latest modules posted (mind linking me to where you got this? or was this in the mechanic module?) - though my opinion still stands, i dont see what the fuss is about. some minor damage decreases, the only ones that hurt are the range decrease of atomic hammer and drill rush and the cooldown on magnetic field (i dont like the new name). But otherwise it still feels like a really powerful class - maybe they're taking a page from blizzards' philosophy with "every class should feel overpowered" (in reference to SC2 though).

You can find them here. Fiel hasn't gotten around to making a thread for the Resistance changes quite yet, so I just tossed the skill names in there and posted it here. :p

the mechanic nerfs are very very small.

Tanks Critical nerfed -10% , Laser -30% , And MEtal Armos lost 10ATK and Some Def.
And -15% PD Ignore

This is very small

I dont call this nerf's, mechanic's are still overpowered since they do they do the best DPS, and they are still STRONG so I think mechanic is still Number 1 O-o

Just because there hit's were lowered like 10k-20k doesn't mean they are lik sh!t now.

Oh so you recalculated their new DPS and compared it to the new and also improved DPS from the other classes? Since you can even put numbers on how much they lost, please do show us those calcs.
And it does matter, a nerf is a nerf, you said you didnt see it as a nerf, but the point i tried to make was that their skills are worse thus they got nerfed.

You don't have to make a godly class pomegranate-tier for it to be considered a nerf.

Heavy Machine Gun was also nerfed by 5%, and a lot of skills from 2nd and 3rd job were nerfed. Magnetic Field's cooldown was increased to 180 seconds.

Aww this makes me sad to see these nerfs, even though it was probably expected. Frown

I'd still love to play this class though.
