What would you do with one of these?

From this article I read, it seems that there are quite a few of these USB sticks in random walls in NYC. People bring their laptops and drop files onto the USB stick for other people to take.

"The idea is to create an anonymous, offline file-sharing network in public space. The drives are completely public and anyone can plug in to drop and download files."

Saw this on iRC last night, and seconding the article by saying "boy i wouldn't trust them things. porn and viruses are all one'd expect from those things.

So.....what's the purpose again?

You don't have to run any exe you see over there. Just reading data is (usually) harmless.

Clever idea. But the poor users' USB ports will be caked with dirt and.. other stuff in a matter of time, not to mention malware and viruses.

Install Ubuntu specifically for these USBs!

I'm not allowed to post what i would do with it.

here's an idea: deposit mp.3's/ mp.4's into the USB's, then have someone else move/copy the files to their own music players that have a usb port.
