Installation keeps failing.
#1
so my friend can't sucessfully install MS no matter how hard she tries, we're not sure what the issue is but we know its not the OS ( win xp ) its not the anti virus , its not anything identifyable ( her dad is a computer technition and he can't identify the problem )

basicly the only option is to download the the folder of the game already installed ( ya'know ziping the folder and sending it so all you gotta do is unzip and star the gamelauncher )

I've tried to do this a few times but my internet is too slow so the upload keeps failing, if someone could upload the game folder (current client) I'd really appreciate it and if you're in broa I'll be more then happy to reward this deed in some small way ( a 10m or so item or something )

so yeah, if someone can upload the game ~ thank you soo much Tongue

Edit - This has happened to her before and this solution was the only fix ^^^^^

Sounds like the installation failed at some point but some files remained. If you try to install again, and some files aren't removed beforehand, you will likely get the same problem. I would check the registry and clear any keys pertaining to Maplestory and Nexon.

Sometimes a bad download results in 'bad' files, so if you keep trying to install a game, you get the same result because the files aren't good, and you need to redownload them. Download a fresh copy of the client after running a registry cleaner and deleting all Maple related files.

One of the least likely candidates for problems is that the hard drive is crapping out. Doesn't seem likely here, but it might be worth looking into.

These are the 3 issues I've run into when dealing with failed game installations.

Question for ya....... what do you mean by "failed installation"? Does the person try to run the game? Do you get an error code? Does the game simply not launch from the browser? Because if you're using Mozilla...
