Big Bang Is In the Air
Dusk Wrote:The adventurer rings weren't nerfed at all. +% crit damage is just not a stat after BB. The only "nerf" was to the crit system, making crit worse overall for previously crit-dependent classes while boosting crit for other classes.
Thats one question I've wanted to ask. How DOES critical damage work after Big Bang? Is it just 200% damage? Or something different?

Who ray?Naw he's just really passionate about this stuffRolleyes He's smart can't deny that. But I was sorta agreeing with you in my post. While it's all fun to be serious about this theres a line of how serious one should get.

Should let us equip both.

You do realize that this is Nexon we are talking about, right? Altering stats on hundreds of monsters < Nerfing stats on a few items.

Anyway, what I would tell you is that you made a bad investment. Nexon never guaranteed you that everything would stay stable in this game. Things fluctuate. It's a part of life. If you think you have it bad, there are millions of other people who have spent fortunes on 2x cards, only to have the EXP curves changed. Do you expect them to all get a refund? That would be preposterous.

Every class has 5% base crit rate. Crit damage is multiplicative and has a range of 1.2x-1.5x. Maximum crit damage can be boosted beyond 1.5x with SE, and minimum crit damage can be boosted beyond 1.2x via a variety of other skills. Crit damage is no longer available from gear.

Altering stats on hundreds of monsters Would take a few experienced C++ programmers 1 day's work of time (might be a week for nexon). And I understand that there are no guarantees. But what's to expect from me are reasonable decisions by a billion dollar company. As long as they are reasonable decisions, I'm cool with it. I also do not understand how your 2x cards assessment makes sense. Yes, the exp curve may get changed as it did in KMS, but if it still takes about the same time to lvl with 2x post-BB as it did pre-BB (which I gather it will ), they didn't really lose any money at all. What I'm talking about here is more along the lines of you for instance buying a weapon for 50k NX in the MTS, then it turns out this weapon is suddenly rendered useless compared to other easily accessible weapons. That's 50k down the drain for you. Is that fair iyo?

Lazy way to modify monsters in Masteria/WT for big bang:

Step 1. Come up with multipliers for level, HP, and exp
Step 2. Find monsters to modify
Step 3. ????
Step 4. PROFIT

The problem is wt has custom ratios to make it better than most other places, so it requires a bit more planning, but not too much.

Normal mobs: EXP = 30 x level
World Tour mobs: EXP = 35 x level

The game needs some randomness.
Some monsters should really have bad exp rates while having good spawn or good exp with more annoying skills, etc.
It's not that simple to adjust every monster's exp.

So what happens to gear that has crit damage on it right now?

It's removed.

So if someone has a 2 or 3 lined equip with +crit% and that's removed? Does that remove a line of potential? Or does that just randomize a random potential effect to take its place? That's really pretty scary if they just remove all +crit% off all equips that already have them. I hope that doesn't also glitch items and make them have 2 lines of potential when they actually have 3.

Maybe it should, but it's not post-BB.

Critical damage isn't a potential stat. Critical damage comes hand in hand with critical CHANCE on potential slots. Potential critical chance is just critical chance after BB.

You mean we haven't been? Damn, no one tells me anything around here anymore.

Oh, I thought they were basically the same. Alright, that clears my misunderstanding up. Thanks.

The month is half over not already over. Smile

The typical "update" schedule will not be in effect for the next couple of months with Big Bang coming in the winter. We will let you know the next update as soon as we get closer to the release day. Thank you!

So whatever you thought was happening, think again. lol

I wonder if -hime- is one of the head honcho's at nexon. She represents the company as a whole so well... /sarcasm

Besides the obvious "down the rode" error, I think she's a pretty good public-relations representative for Nexon - much more so than -Hime-. =)

a god damn roach scratching its belly and barfing all over my keyboard would be a better representative than Hime
