Post BB skill builds, for new and existing chars?
#1
Anybody got a good source for them?

Looking at the skill table thread, it seems we don't even know what some skills do, exactly, so maybe it's not yet clear how useful they are?

Also, what I mean by "new and existing" is that the characters we already have and get a full SP reset at BB may want to adopt a build that would not work in the natural progression of things.
For example, consider warriors.
I assume a new warrior, post BB, will have to max the HP boost skill, and the Power Strike and Slash Blast attack skills, leaving only 11 SP for Iron Body.
However, a character that is already a third or fourth job warrior, doesn't necessarily need PS and SB anymore. He may want to max Iron Body instead (does DEF really become useful?).

So, in short, any recommended cookie-cutter builds for new chars, or "I'm past that" builds for existing chars?

Why don't you start making some yourself and post them here? Smile

Froma little research, there is at least 1 thread for buccaneers in The pirate sub forum. There are also multiple Confusedince X came out with BB, should i go X or Z?

Also you could easily go on lolbasil and they have some decent guides there as well.

Ellinforest is also a decent place since they are a KMS based english commmunity forum.

But for those 4th job and up, i think that they would be able to fix that for themselves, since they know best what they use for training most often.

LOL

They know what they use now.
They haven't the slightest idea what they will be using after BB, unless they've done a lot of research.

My Paladin is going (you could follow this for a new warrior lol):

Swordsman
20 Power Strike
11 Slash Blast
10 HP Increase
20 Iron Body

Page
20 Mastery
[Points here for early Booster]
[Points here for early Groundsmash/Fundamentals]
20 Final Attack
20 Booster
20 Power Guard
20 Threaten
21 Groundsmash/Improved Fundamentals

White Knight
20 Fire Charge
20 Lightning Charge
30 Charged Blow
20 Ice Charge
10 Restoration
20 Combat Orders
20 Shield Mastery
11 Magic Crash (or for earlier job skills w/e it doesn't matter)

Paladin
1 Rush
1 Guardian (Combat Orders pushes it to 13% Block rate)
1 Blast (Combat Orders pushes it to 226% x 3 damage)
1 Bossing (Bracing) Armor [w/e you wanna call it] (CO pushes it to 6% chance of barrier for blocking 2 hits)
1 MW (CO pushes it to 90s for 2% stats)
10 Advanced Charge Blow
0-6 Power Stance (CO pushes it to 30-90 seconds)

2 Paths for whatever you want to get first:
- HH first (30 Points)
- Holy Charge (20 points) [Holy Charge is only 7% more damage than Fire, so some people delay it like me]

Then finish Blast (29 Points) [Blast and Power Stance before HH/Holy Charge if you want to BF earlier]
Then finish Power Stance (to Boss with )

(This is around Level 152-157)

{1 Achilles (1.5% less damage) [wouldn't really matter but ok, you'll be at 449 HP after taking a 1/1 when you're at 30k HP]}

Bossing Armor/MW/Guardian/[HolyCharge/HeavenHammer] In any order, I would do HC (Because I did HH first) then Bossing Armor, MW, Guardian.
Hero's Will
Achilles/Rush

----
- HH pretty much loses most of its practical use because BB pushes monsters' levels and HP higher as well as general damage, so you'll probably be killing monsters in 1-3 hits with Blast/ACB which is faster than HH + Rush
- If above statement is not true, HH is pretty good lol, it means whatever weapon you have no matter how weak it is doesn't matter when training at all

Google might.

There's like 99% of the skills that we know the mechanics for. What don't we know? How DoT stacks?

Usually a bad idea.

Go for it then. o.o Max iron body isn't really that big a deal even after the defense changes. Paladins and heroes already take miniscule damage due to high str, and dark knights get iron will.
