Algebra 2
#1
First off, I need to say I have no idea how I survived until Calculus 1. Goddammit, I never paid attention in Algebra 2 & Pre-Calculus class (mostly Alg 2 I didn't pay attention in). I have a SAT Math 2 test coming up this saturday so I need to review basic Algebra 2 concepts. Does anyone know any good resources that simplify concepts such as "Odd and Even Functions," "Inverse Trig. Functions," "Special Angles," "Logarithmic Functions," "Parametric Functions," "Sequences and Series," "Three dimensional Geometry," "Vectors," "Statistics."

I hate my Algebra 2 teacher who is sooooo boring. Clearly 8 weeks of studying did not help. I really can't get these concepts in my head.

To anyone who is knowledgeable about level 1 Calculus: Are any of those previously mentioned concepts rigorously tested in the first level of Calculus?

Though you won't be tested directly, it does help quite a bit to recognize odd/even functions, special angles, basic shapes of functions and algebraic techniques such as factoring, distributing, negative/positive powers, etc. Youtube might help with certain concepts but the best resource is a concrete book because then, you wouldn't be studying random concepts all over the place.

I will try youtube. It's not one of my first ideas to look for math help on youtube.

Hi Keith Smile

Unfortunately, the only way to do well in math is constant practicing. I can't really explain how math works in high school since I'm not from USA but in Calculus in college they generally do a nice review to get you back to speed. Don't think angles, vectors, 3d geometry, and stats were that important in that class.

Hi Kevo, long time no see. F2

I figured that much about the necessity geometry in Calculus. Do you know any sites that I can practice and review the concepts? I only know one and that is Hotmath.com which is for explaining how to solve textbook problems. :x

Did a quick google search, this looks decent to me but it's not very interactive.

I don't think Calculus can be made exciting or easy so you'll just have to keep at those homework problems =/

Yeah I know Calculus isn't really exciting or easy but I really like the fresh idea of dealing with mathematics involving change. I also have a good teacher. Also, I'm looking for review help on Algebra 2. But yeah I already found a few videos on youtube. Now I just need some sample problems to test my concepts.

I can pull out alot of my old tests from PreAP Algebra 2, I've got them stashed.
If you're looking for a challenge, just PM me. If you're looking for basics then youtube it up.
