I totally forgot...
#1
...how hard it is for a newbie to survive in Maplestory. I was always looking down on those newbies that go around begging for money...and now I find that I might have to do just that.

I decided to join a friend of mine in Bootes for the heck of it, where I have absolutely NOTHING.

That 36k you see? I got that by selling off all my white pills. The Beer I have should cover me for a few more rounds of Kerning Subway Survival.

I need advice on how to earn money, or at least which quests give useful potions.

Thanks in advance. =.=

Sell those apples, sell any equips you find that are worthless.

This thread from basil should help you with your questing choices too.

I forgot to mention that EVERYTHING in my Use tab is untradeable except for the blue pills and the Nautilus scrolls (which I use to save time traveling). The only equips I have in my inventory are the Noblesse robe and hat, beginner knuckles, Wild Eye Gas Mask and Fruity Bamboo (1 meso).

That's why I'm in such a bind. Hell, if those damn pills were tradeable, I'd have lots of meso by now.

Note: The Apples are called Angel's Apples, and heal the player for 200 HP.

Sell the Chicken soup, it can be sold for 100k each in MSEA Bootes.
If you are lucky enough to get Energy drink, you can sell it for 500k each. It comes in a bundle of 3.

You mean to other players? Because those damned NPCs won't pay a cent for the chicken.

starting with 50k from my cousin, i managed to make 1.5 mil on my i/l by level 30 just by training and NPCing stuff. it shouldn't be hard. As for pirates, use bare hands

After securing 100 White Potions from a Gunslinger who wanted me to stay on and kill King Pepe with him instead of going off to buy potions and 100 Blue Potions from a random Bandit at Mushroom Castle in exchange for helping him kill King Pepe, I managed to hang on long enough to gather lots of stat-boosting potions (Magic Potion, Dexterity Potion, etc.) and sell them all off to the NPC for easy money. I managed to get up to 70k mesos, then spent about 2k before clearing The Old Snail for another 30k. Big Grin

I haven't even sold off my 3 Chicken Soup and 2 Power-Up Drinks yet. :p

Should be able to carry on like this now. Thanks guys!
