Halo: Reach

Did anyone else buy this game? I actually never really planned on getting it and then did. I think it's really, really fun so far. I love the new forge and the firefight matchmaking. I'm actually building a map with two of my friends right now. It's supposed to be like an old horror movie. We made UFOs that infected spawn on and they come down to a little village area. It's pretty cool so far, but it's not completed yet.

So... Halo: Reach discussion thread now, and what do you think of the game?

I watched all the cut scenes on Youtube. That's all I needed out of this game. Halo really just lacks in the core features I want in a FPS.

1) Universal sprint (not a single class being able to sprint)
2) A real method to aim on most weapons. Using crosshairs in the middle of your screen is God awful.
3) Not spending three clips to kill 1 person

It's sad for me, Halo has one of my favorite stories but the gameplay just doesn't measure up.

Fuckin' love it.

Finished the campaign. It's definitely harder than the other Halos. Haven't gotten into the other things yet.

Honestly looks like the best Halo as far as campaign goes in my opinion. Halo 2's was good, 3's was boring, and ODST was just a mini-game and had ''lolcampaign''.

I hate ODST so much, its fucking stupid spending a whole clip on 2 guys yeah i get that your not a spartan and that you cant jump as high or have as much HP but if your given the choice between having sex with the girl/guy of your dreams or getting fucked in every orifice with no lube what would you pick?

I didn't even bother picking up ODST. I love Halo but didn't buy that or Halo Wars.

Of course I have played them. There is a reason I don't anymore. Ever since games like CoD and Battlefield implemented iron sights, I can't stand a FPS that doesn't have them.

I haven't played them, but to be honest, they don't look much fun.

I enjoyed the full-circle-ness of campaign.

Tag is BiracialPickles if anyone wants to play Slayer or Big Team or custom or... whatever.

This bugs me. It is giving far too much credit to Halo where credit really isn't due. Halo has a great story, but for the most part I can't think of it as being that ground breaking.

I agree (for the most part). But, I'm a fanboy, so I reject the idea of that. lol
