Taskbar and Router Problems

The operating system I'm using is Window's 7. I'm having trouble with the bottom right corner of the taskbar, where all the icons are. Before, when I paused my mouse pointer over an icon, eg. Networks, a small white rectangle would appear saying "The Harrison Network | Internet Access". Pausing over the battery icon would tell me how much battery % I have remaining. Now I can't see it anymore. Can someone please tell me how to turn this setting back on? I've searched for the setting, googled it, and scoured the Window's 7 help and I still found nothing.

For my router, I'm using a D-link n300. It keeps autorestarting every few minutes, which is fine since I don't dc out of anything, but it makes Facebook chat all screwy. It's like the 15 second lag on MS, except randomly and with longer intervals.

Control Panel -> Taskbar and Start Menu -> Customize button under Notification area in the Taskbar tab -> Look at the Network and Battery icons and choose "Show icon and notifications" under their respective dropdown menus.

As for your router... I dunno yet.

That didn't work. It's the first thing I tried. I know it doesn't show up in the screnshot, but my mouse was over the internet button when I took this screenshot using PRTSC. You can tell by that little highlighted triangle below the five bars.[/spoiler]
