Need a new motherboard
#1
Here's a problem I have SP:

I want to upgrade my motherboard. I know this is best to do with an upgraded CPU too, but I'd like to hold off on that until I have a bit more cash. I currently have Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz, and from the looks of it intel quad core processors will fit into the same socket. I found this motherboard on Newegg:

And really, I'd just like confirmation that I can do this with the motherboard:

1)upgrade the CPU from a duo to quad

2) use two GeForce 8800GT cards (I currently have a spare)

Also, I have 2 gigs of RAM, 2 1 gig DDR2 sticks, would it be a good idea to get an extra two?

which motherboard and what version of the C2D do you currently have? all information can be had with cpu-z http://www.cpuid.org ... Need to know the processor's codename and current motherboard... also, what's your reason for upgrading your existing motherboard?

That MB only supports Crossfire, you need a SLI motherboard.

This one will support your needs and yes, you should get more RAM, especially if you're running a 64 bit system.
