DVD images are all green and purple.
#1
I tried playing a coupe dvds today(its beena while since I watched anything) on my pc and the picture is green and purple. I've used Windows Media Player, VLC media player and Power DVD and they all are green and purple.

As far as I know I've updated everything, I tried doing this like microsoft said for WMP and it made no difference.

If you find that video disappears or turns a different color, turn off video overlays by doing the following:

1.In Windows Media Player, on the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Performance tab.

2.Click the Advanced button.

3.In the Video Acceleration area, clear the Use overlays check box.

If the problem continues, try turning off the video mixing renderer (VMR) by clearing the Use video mixing renderer check box, located just above the Use overlays check box.

When I take SS of the movie the images come out with the correct colour...so I duno whats wrong.

Anyone got any ideas?

Try checking your videocard driver settings panel for hardware video overlay settings.

Sometimes you can adjust HUE / Color / Gamma there, maybe something is wrong with those settings... :o
