Marauder Vs I/L Mage. Help me decide =]

Hey,
I really need help deciding what to do with my 2 characters.
1.Lvl 78 Marauder.
2.Lvl 119 I/L mage.
The Marauder has been my main for a few months because I had a few issues with my I/L's account and I didn't play it for nearly 3 years.(a looong break in-between)
the mage is equip-less and the marauder is fully equipped.
my question is should I sell all my pirate's equips are use the money to fund my I/L or should I continue with the pirate?
From what I know I/Ls are great mobbers thanks to their ultimate but they are pretty useless in bossing and a Bucc is needed in bossing for time leap and SI.
taking into account the last balance patch (and the revamp on KMST that will probably in the end will come to GMS) what do you suggest me to do?
Keep on going with my pirate or maybe focus on my I/L so I will be in a lvl high enought to enjoy the benefits of the revamp when it will be updated.
btw my I/L l mage is regular luk(75 base) so i belive i wont have any problems with the new DMG formula.
My main target in the game is to lvl in order to be able to boss with friends,take that into account please.

go with marauder cause it has equips. you could always use clean gear on the I/L mage like i do for my bishop. hell you can use both accounts and not have to worry about which one as long as you can go back and forth. i find it hard to stick with one chracter all the time, so i end up using bioth of them.

My point is: it doesn't matter which one you stick to, it's just more fun when you can use multiple characters. If anything get clean equips on the mage and get 4th job for the heck of it and see if you like it. if not then go back to the marauder.

that is one option.
the problem is,wouldnt i lose kinda from both sides?
true,i will have a 4th job char but it wont be at a high lvl enough to enjoy its power and abilities because i will also focus on marauder.
on the other side it will also delay me from getting my marauder to 4th job because i dont have 2 much playing time for 2 chars(weekends only,and not every weekend).
i will try to kinda refine my question.
If i had to choose between one of them,who will it be?
concidering the lvl or the chars,that my target in the game is lvling a FUN to play char and a class that can boss quite good.
P.S
is a pirate hard to train from 78-120?
