Windows 7

I've bought a lot of copies of windows over the past 6 months, 2 for $30 student discount and one for full price. Now, my little sister's laptop's hard drive broke, so we had to give a fresh re-install of Windows 7. Now I have to either buy another activation key or use a less legal method. Is there any way for me to get another code without having to buy another code for $110? And if all else fails, how safe is using a keygen? I'd like to activate the windows on the laptop, but I'd rather not give microsoft another $110.

Just call microsoft and explain how many times you've bought windows 7 and that this particular case is even just a reinstall. It's a pain, I know. but it will work.

Can't just use the same code again?

Just a bit of a note: Keygens won't exactly work for you, as you'll still need to go through Windows Validation (unless you had a supplied code that is guaranteed to work). There's... ways to fool Windows Vaildation, but that's as far as I'll say in the matter.

But yeah, considering you got it legit, best to call Microsoft.
