What Specific Type of "Mini-Labtop" Should I Get For HT/Multi-User?
#1
I bet you never thought you'd see me again. Okay so, I gave up on my previous idea of downgrading my current labtop from Windows Vista-> Windows XP. And let me put up this disclaimer: I'm dumb with computers.

I heard from a person in my guild that he uses a "Mini-Labtop" for HT. Personally I've never even heard of them before, but the guildie said they're as cheap as being around $300.

What I'm looking for is the best brand name (Dell, Hp, Asas, etc), the type of stuff that comes with Windows XP (for example ## bits), the amount of "RAM" (Personally I don't even know what this is), the type of graphics card, and anything else that I should know when I go into Best Buy and ask the guy to order/make/give me. I really wouldn't know what to say for any of that, so any additonal information is appreciated.

So to help you know what info to tell me, my aims for this mini labtop are to survive HT, and PB, without disconnecting due to Vista incompatibility, and I would also it to be able to multi-user.

Thank for your help.

He probably means a netbook. They range from 300 to 600 USD. Most come with Windows XP SP3 or Windows 7 Starter 32-bit, have an Intel Atom at 1.66 Ghz, have 1 GB of RAM, and have integrated graphics. Useful for general purpose use. Not something I would buy for games.

Yeah, netbooks should let you play MapleStory, but I don't really know about Zakum, HT or PB. 1GB sounds like little memory to handle it.

RideBMX has it covered there, most of them come with Windows XP SP3.

You should tell your friend that it's laptop, not labtop.

You could just Dual-Boot to save yourself the cash. What are your computer specs?

GAAWWD thank you, that typo pisses me off so much for no reason.
