How didn't Kynim win the artwork event? I hated almost every work of art Nexon selected; why do they have to suck at picking GOOD art. And I don't say this out of too much bias as they've picked some pretty poor works of art for past events too. It's just another day for Nexon, I suppose...

Kynim's art can be found on Basil and his DeviantArt but I'm linking to Spadow because it shows all 7 pictures in a slideshow but I'm lazy: http://spadow.wordpress.com/2010/04/03/g...gon-event/

The artwork that won this time werent entirely bad. They were decent (other than the second 1st prize winner, who mixed up "bound" and "bond"). That being said, the entry you linked definitely blew the rest out of the water.

I guess you cant expect much when Nexon is choosing winners...

Oh come the pineapple on... get your head out of your Nexon hating ass

The third image of the number 1 winner is phenomenal, beautiful vivd colors, extremely detailed scenery, high amounts of visual projected general detail from the cress in the clothing to the emotional eyes shows nothing less then a piece of art that rivals a professional, not to mention the "paint" like coloring which IMO is a welcomed effect since it tends to be underused in art by "amateurs".

Don't get me wrong the one in the link well done, but it's using a rather simplistic cartoonish/low budget anime style that can be seen in several of these submissions, making it far from the achievement of "blowing the other ones out of the water"

Either way you look at it, Kynim's art is way better than this or this. Don't get me wrong or anything, it's just that some of these are really... not that good.

Besides, this is all opinionated and that's done.

wohohoho, get my head out of my Nexon hating ass? I never said anything about the grand prize winner was bad. I infact love the 3rd picture of it too. I was more commenting on the other "winners" than the grand prize winner. I'm sorry I didnt make myself clear, I suppose? That being said, if you quoted my WHOLE post instead of just the end, you would've seen it.

That comment was not referring to just this contest, but some of the previous ones. Need I remind you of this, this, and this. Oh, and this too.

Do I need to go further?

Trust me, if someone has a reason NOT to hate Nexon, its me. I won the biggest prize they've ever given out, though that was because of lack of competition. I'll admit that I felt I didnt deserve to win for the effort I put in. It was simply the best entry of a bunch of mediocre ones.

Oh come the pineapple on...get your head out of your Nexon haters hating ass

Ps. Taking things out of context can be fatal.

To be honest most of that rant was directed towards Chuey >.>

(should have been obvious)

P.S.
Get my head out of my haters hating ass... really... I'll admit my comment wasn't John Oliver/Ricky Gervais cleaver but.. really

I hate Nexon's decisions, not Nexon. :f6: I'm not like Sarah, an enthusiast for Nexon change. I mostly just lurk, but whatever. I didn't really clarify myself though, so this new position I'm in is my fault. I strongly was referring to the second place winners though IN MY OPINION the grand prize winner's art wasn't my favor. It wasn't sucking though, not at all. But in my earlier post I was trying to refer to the contests Retalion linked to also. I loved the art for the first place winners so my head was stuck on the final winners. I mean, really?

THAT WON A PRIZE? /opinion

But no, I didn't give the good art any credit so I do apologize to, well, society. But the second place winners... *shudders*

I'd call her an extremist >.> (or rather an over exaggerating freedom fighter)... I'd say why (*cough*said the death caused by Toyota's negligence was less serious then nexon's general negligence to an online video game community*cough*) but I'd rather avoid that >.> (waits for infraction...)

yeah...yeah I'll grant you the others are... good in the way Dane Cook is funny.... not very but I'm sure some people like it.

IDK how they judge though... I always figure they pick really good ones and really bad ones since this game is mostly children and the want to give some hope of winning to the less... talented people... IDK that's just what I think

That guy made a mistake by letting everyone see it, you know how many people edited that crapa nd sent it to Nexon to try and take Credit? A LOT, this guy post it the same day he entered iton Basil freaking Basil...He lost when he posted it there.

And Feiy is freaking an amazing artist, she did quite well.

Logitech mouse? If it was one with macros I would find that hilarious since nexon bans you for using mouse macros. Wewt keyboard shortkeys. -_-;;.
