Empty Network Folder
#1
So yeah, I click the start menu, click Network and there's no icons in there. I need access to those icons. Is there anyway to get them to show up again?

Using Vista, btw.

1/ I haven't used Vista, ever.
2/ I don't know if you already know about this.

But if this is what you're seeing, click the "View Network Connections" (or something similar) on the left side Tasks.

Alternatively, you can elaborate what you're trying to do and there will be alternative accesses beside via those icons.

Uh...well. I'm trying to install this Nintendo Wifi dongle BS, but It gives me "error(6)" messages about ICS, and I can't edit anything without those icons.

ignore the other computers in my network.

Anyway, i suggest you try the network and sharing center (vista has this)

and if not that, try to backdoor into your own computer by typing the address \\computer name (Mine is \\SUPAHBOOK)

I think you need to go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Left side > Change Adapter Settings?

You're not actually trying to share things to browse other shared folders on other computers no the network.

Eh...none of that is getting me what I need, and I'm fed up from spending hours trying to get this thing running.

Thanks anyway.

If I understand what you're saying, when you click on the network there are no icons (ones being displayed at least). In other words, you think there are hidden files and can't see them?
