Okay, So i started getting this about a week ago(the error stile lets you play maple, but you get aggressive lag, makes the game unplayable, it crashes most of the time really), just recently learned how to fix, I had to download msvcp71.dll and install it in win32 (duh) but then nothing happend, still had the horrible lag, then i learned you had to get msvcr71.dll as well (figures right?) Now.. i still got the lag... wth?
Do I have to re-install maplestory after doing this?
Is there something else i got to do?
May I point out specs are irrelevant, About a few months ago, the game worked fine on my pc, and nothing has changed. (Except the fact I had to downgrade from 7 to windows xp home... the RC was ending...)

Usually run time library files have to be in the same directory as the programs that requires them, in this case maplestory.exe. However, I see no such files in my MS directory, though several versions of these files are all over my computer.
What makes you think MS needs these?

What makes you think MS needs these? Its the GAME that gives me this error...
And its on other forums and places i learned that i had to put the .dll in win32.
yes, I do find it odd that maplestory needs it, but quite a few programmes do as well.
Apperently its something you get in framework idk.
But yeah... the problem persists...
So I'm wondering if i have to re-install the game or do other things. Or if theres other .dll's i need to download.

Try registering the dll
Start --> run --> "regsrv32 [location of the dll file]"

Try removing all visual effects right click My Comp > properties > performance > adjust best for performance.
You should be back at windows classic...see how it goes. Fixed things up for me in 7, though might not work on XP since GUI's rendered differently...
Also, don't play and video's when playing, I find affects how much I lag.

Il try it but i dought it will work, you see, the problem isin't performance.
Somehow, the lack of this certain .dll causes the game to get frame skips, and its not only hapenning with maplestory, its happenning with some of my other games as well.

I know it's not a performance issue.
But on windows 7, when I have the full areo gui, it would lag more, it's got to do with how the gui is rendered and maple is causing conflicts fighting over resources.
and it is only recently that if I was to watch a movie or something during grinding, it would lag horribly.
They changed something this patch and it's causing a lot of issues.
