Do you actually play Maplestory or did you quit and just complain about everything now? Just wondering...

It's obviously to early to say this patch sucks when they have not gave any information about it....Man some people just jump on the wagon way to quick.

And this isn't everything either, it happens in a lot of patches they post things a few at a time I can't recall when they posted every single thing in "one" post.

Was going to ignore this since it's a typical coogi post (complaining about complaining) and because I'm trying to avoid infractions (sure seems like I'm being baited recently. Getting paranoid.) But I will respond as civil as I can.

Yes, I still play MapleStory. It's been on and off, but at the moment I am back in fully. And even if I weren't, it's because Nexon has made the game as unbearable as possible by running it into the ground. As someone who has spent hundreds of dollars supporting them, and probably you, I have all the right in the world to say whatever I want.

Furthermore, while this most certainly isn't everything, it's what we've seen, and we have a right to comment on what they've shown us, and what they haven't shown us. That's what a forum is for, so get off your high-horse, please.

Five Year Reunion

You are cordially invited to a reunion of old friends you haven’t seen in years! Take a trip down memory lane and revisit some old NPCs you haven’t talked to for a while and do their quests. The door prize for this reunion is tons of EXP for each repeatable quest, but this reunion is only going on for one week!

This and the Maple Weapons are the only things I'm interested in this patch. Everything else is meh.

By S rank, it means from PQs that appear in your quest log, not from a single PQ round. Nett's Pyramid doesn't count, PQs such as LPQ, CPQ and Ellin Forest count.

Meh... weapons and maybe Dragon Rider's my only interest here. Nothing else is really appealing... except maybe the Neo weapons, but I don't like the whole durability thing.

If I'm not mistaken, it was Halloween patch where we got Haunted Mansion expansion (which wasn't that good beside the hype for Olivia chair), Episode 1 (which was vague without their patch notes), Balrog Boss (lol) and Malaysia. If you can't tell, everything was pretty vague before their complete patch notes were put up.

Heck, we didn't even know Balrog Boss and Malaysia were coming out until the last hours.

What's the difference for this patch? Only unless Nexon decides to pull our legs yet again (gasp!), it's sh'itty, and I don't think I even need to point out how.

It's like you said. Something may be pulled on us at the last second. What is it is the main question. Besides the fact is that we never know. We just never know until Fiel gives us the patch extractions and NEXON the patch notes. So lets just chill and wait.

Uhh, I don't know about others, but if I complain, I complain at what Nexon's showing us: a bunch of crap.

Pretty nice they are showing some of the stuff so early. The events are a mystery though, thinking the cake vs pie thing will be kind of like the versalmas or christmas event a while back, the drawing is probably like the rainbow event as well. Nice of them to bring back all the maple equips again and the new pq seems nice as well, but the durability weapons seem like they are for bossing and not grinding in reality.

Also everyone is entitled to their own opinions for this announcment. I believe it's decent with room for improvement truefully, but everyone should remember that there will be more to come most likely.

Sad part is NX card packages totally sounds like something Nexon would do.

Tons of exp for reunion quests? Wow I'll bet that they give like 5k!

Durability items with no explanation? Gach for sure.

No 2x events? No maple leafs? I'm hoping this isn't everything that they're including in this anniversary, or else it'll be their most boring yet. Lots of 2x events alone would've made a better anniversary than what I've seen so far. Oh well, maybe we'll get that adventurer update on the patch after next.

It was a joke because it's a terrible idea, but something Nexon would do. The fun of card hunting isn't getting RANDOM CARDS at all but I can imagine Nexon thinking it is. And the clean slate card would wipe out your entire book, because I imagine Nexon would think that would lead to twice the fun.
