Yes, Nodiatis is a rather fun game very balanced for the most. its browser based and can be played for free. come give it a try if maple is letting you down
its an mmo it isn't nexon and there have been a slew of new updates recently.

It has good balance but can be a little imba with the people who power level skills to the extreame.
There is no formal class system any class can use any item which is always fun and the indepth skills system is a plus.
Chat is not area based there are 5 chats uncivil(it is really uncivil) civil it can be clean or bad for the most part it is good though, and Clan one and Clan 2 +whispers and buddylist.
it is nice retro graphics
it has a built in limiter 1 hour per day 2 hours for standard 3 hours for premium you can still play but it is 1/6th normal drops(fixed with an upgrade)

one of the things I don't like is that to trade, you need to pay 5 dollars or cash out 150+k gold for a timecard for a month. its kind of moot at level 50+ though I can get 700k in a month

not sure if you two played beta, but thats kind of how Nodiatis is right now beta/ early out of beta easy to make friends and not everyone is uber competetive there are some people though.
