Getting on to MapleStory

The last time I had logged in to Maple was a few days before the release of Evan, and after, I went on vacation for a week- and while I was on vacation, didn't really looked at the MapleStory section seeing that I wouldn't have to really care since I didn't have MapleStory while I was away. Been busy the past two weeks with school, and I've been meaning to play again.

Unfortunately, I seem to get a message that reads "If you started this program, continue" and after hitting "Continue", I wind up being directed to the MapleStory home page.

Can anyone help explain what's going on here? Have they made it so that you can only log in via the web page now, or something? I've tried logging in via the site too, and I wound up with an error reading "Invalid NGMDII!". I saw an announcement about logging in via the webpage, but I don't want to go through that until I'm sure about everything.

It is rally hard to get into the game using the gamelauncher.

30% of the time it didnt work
65% of the time it said "having trouble starting the game? try doing it from the website"
5% of the time it wok

So starting from the website is the only thing that you have left

It's not like using the website is less convenient.

Can one of you explain how the new website log-in is supposed to work?

I've tried Nexon's instructions for Firefox too.

So what- just make sure that Browsing History and Cookies are marked? I've tried that already setting it back by clearing stuff from the last hour, but it didn't work. Am I supposed to clear out EVERYTHING? I don't want to pick an option like that if I'm not sure if it'll work or not.

You say that like you haven't cleared your browser in a really long time. o.o

Ideally you just install the client, launch the .exe, it takes you to the site, you log in, press the button, and then minimize FF (though you don't have to) and you're good.
