Old Flash? Go Upgrade!
#1
So, recently within the past few days I have been getting this error a lot from Youtube. I know for a fact that I have the most recent flash player. I also checked Javascript, which I have enabled. I've tried numerous times to reinstall my flash player, restart my computer, clear my cache, cookies, and tons of other things. Still, no cigar. oCcasionally, though, I can watch videos (very rare) and I can watch videos if they are embedded on a site.

I use Opera, and I really don't want to switch browsers. Firefox just hogs far too much memory, and I don't like Chrome nearly as much as I like the functionality of Opera. I also love how Opera has all the essentials built in.

But still, does it work with other browsers? In that case, you probably have to reinstall Opera or something, or find some setting in Opera that disables Flash by default on YouTube. I'm guessing you have some widget similar to noscript that automatically turns Flash off on a website of your choosing, which apparently is YouTube (which explains why all other types of Flash, even YouTube on other websites, works).

I am also using Opera, and have the same problem. I have no add-ons.

I have no add-ons, as well. I don't need any for Opera because it has all I need built in.

Also, it appears Frefox works from my small amount of testing, but I really don't want to use FF.

I think it could be just opera, I tried opera when it became the fastest browser, and one of the regular site I visit that have flash doesn't work properly although it have worked properly on firefox and chrome. So i didn't use opera....
