Item levels and exps
#1
Does anyone know how you gain item exp and how much you gain from doing it?

Simply, you gain exp equal to the regular exp it takes to level a 120,121,122 adventurer.

Hm, why does it say 75, 80 etc then? o-o;

I was talking about Maker. Your question is very vague. Do you mind clearing it up?

I think he's really referring to level 120 reverse items level up.

You need to get on your character those ammounts of exp to level the item. What's shown on the item is how much % of that you've already gotten.

Yeah, I'm talking about the Timeless/Reverse items that level up.
So wait, I need to get 70 exp on my character to level up the item?
Doesn't seem right, imo. o.o

What? Locked showed how much exp you needed to level an item

No.
I mean, the WZs show that you need 70 exp to level a Reverse Lampion.
So, I'm wondering how that works.

Where are you getting this from..?

Locked is right.

70 exp on a weapon =/= 70 exp in the game. 70 weapon exp = 31,344,244 player exp.

Anujan is correct. The WZ files have a sliding scale value per level. So one level shows "70" exp, another level shows "80" exp.

So one item exp would be the experience an adventurer needs to level from 120 to 121 divided by 70?

31344244/70 = ~447775
33061908/75 = ~440825
34873700/80 = ~435921

Am I doing it right?

In my opinion, it just doesn't seem like how it would be done.
Different items have different item exp amounts they need to level the first time, but you're saying they all need 31344244? o-o;

You could also do * .70 and that makes more sense

31344244 * .70 = 21,941,970

Yeah, your way makes more sense.
If it was division then the exp needed would get lower each level >:

Thanks for you help Smile

31344244 * .70 = 21,941,970

Except if 31344244 is the amount needed to level it up once, that doesn't make sense - 22 million exp doesn't mean anything o.o

I think those numbers are just approximate. 70->75 is a bigger increase than the amount from leveling once (1.0548, a constant)

Hmm.
I'm not even sure if it's based on exp.
I've been told it's by mobs killed (Which wouldn't make much sense 'cause you can kill snails) and also been told that it's by damage dealt (kinda makes sense except for the fact that armour can't deal damage?).
So yeah...
More input is always welcome =)

Disregarding the whole item exp, you should worry more about player exp.
Level 1: 31344244
Level 2: 33061908
Level 3: 34873700

Mobs killed would be pointless, since you can just kill snails in HHG1 to level your equips. Damage dealt doesn't matter, since I've "leeched" my reverse weapons before.

Still doesn't seem right.
A Timeless Fennel needs 80 Item EXP in order to level up whereas a Reverse Engaw needs 70 Item EXP.
Care to elaborate?
Both are to get to level 1. o.o
