Jazz/ Spaz from Jazz Jackrabbit (I never played it myself, but I know somebody who did )
Pacman and ghost from Pacman
Tetris piece from tetris
Sonic hedgehog/Donald Duck from... I don't know

That's too much work. I don't think playing a lot of games means you're hardcore. Though that's subjective, my terms was more-so how much time and effort you put into something that determines if you're hardcore. I played a lot of SNES, NES, and PS1 crap in the old days, and I don't consider myself a hardcore gamer at all. Not at all.

looks like uhhh... duck hunt, streets of rage, final fantasy, simpsons, mortal kombat, team fortress, metal gear solid, pokemon, crash bandicoot, conker, earthworm jim, james bond, lara croft tomb raider, street fighter, metroid prime, transformers, resident evil 4, starfox, super mario, wario, sonic, carmen sandiego, iron man, spider man, wolverine, pocket fighers, bomberman, donkey kong, halo, pacman, tetris, ninja turtles, the matrix, call of duty, indiana jones, batman, hitman, the hulk, ratchet and clank, god of war, legend of zelda.

just went through it real quick... i've probably missed some obvious ones and/or maybe even identified some of these mistakenly. pretty sure i named a good portion of them though.
