Pink on my left monitor (well calibrated modern LCD), purple on my right (not so good).

I voted pink.

Looks magenta to me a-@.

Easy way of know is printing it out and calling the color for the printout.

it is definitely pink in the color spectrum. it contains no purple or any part of blue (which purple has some)
this is the color in the color spectrum. note that its location is more in the red section, and no where near the purple section (the intersection between red and blue)

in the same location of the spectrum, if u get to the top right corner of the level of light for the color, the original color would be reveal, which is this

and barney's color is still pink, it is more pink than purple, just look at its location in the spectrum

Wikipedia Wrote:Purple is a general term used in English for the range of shades of color occurring between red and blue.[2] In additive light combinations it occurs by mixing the primary colors red and blue in varying proportions. In subtractive pigments it can be equal to the primary color magenta...

...In color theory,"purple" is defined as any non-spectral color between violet and red (excluding violet and red themselves)
