Bodyguard B

Probably nobody cares, but whatever.

Describe the problem. Be as specific as possible!:Bodyguard B has multiple issues. Its knockback animation is one frame of the regular knockback then the animation of its mp drain attack backwards. Also, you can't hit bodyguard B while it's in that animation, nor can you hit it at all while it's standing still. When bodyguard B uses its attack2, it's set to drain 50000mp, but instead of draining mp, the value loops over the 30k limit and heals you for 20k mp instead. I don't know if this is also in the uncensored version of Showa, but the attack is also way too fast, having each frame fly by in only 50 milliseconds.

Nope, this bug has been around since we've had Grandpa. I remember soloing Bodyguard A about a year and a half ago and he was glitched then. Because of that glitch I couldn't solo it, and it massively increases the time it takes for a party to kill it.

I find it very funny how he heals MP.

It's been around forever for every version that's gotten the censored version of showa (removed background stuff in armory, no guns, dying monsters turning into raccoons, etc.). I'm pretty sure the mp recovery thing is unintentional, the data says it burns 50000mp. For comparison, Horntail arms' attack is listed in the same way but has a value of 3000 and works correctly.

So to speak, an attack dealing more than 30k dmg would... heal?

As we've seen from poisoning bigfoot, frogs, or anything of the like.
