im wondering a few things about windows 7 cause im thnking bout getting a new laptop.

i've heard 64 bit windows 7 can run multiple maples so that helps
this is a del inspiron 15 with win7 btw, ill aim for 64bit.

with the graphics card should i get intel or ATI . im looking at a Del inspiron btw with an intel wireless card and im wondering if ATI is required for windows 7 and fast switching or is just intel graphics sufficient.

Intel graphics cards are almost always crap. The ATI will be better since it's a dedicated card.

try to get the core 2 duo. pentium dual core is just a butchered core 2 duo and the extra cache the core 2 duo has will help. try to get the ati graphics too if you can.

I've noticed over the years of buying computers/complaining about computers and listening to other people's complaints, Dell is possibly one of the worst computer companies ever made. Or at least produce the worst computers. If you search "dont buy dell" for example on Google, there are 72,600,000 results. Almost the same as the search for Dell.com alone. It's full of complaints with every Dell computer ever made I assure you. So I'd look up there before you go all willy nilly and buy something you'll regret.

Also, a Lenovo, Acer, HP, or Toshiba could fit better specs for around the same full price of that computer. All depends on what you like. As for the Del computer you have there, I'd go with what has been recommended. Don't skimp on things that will hurt you in the long run Wink
