Higurashi - When They Cry

Just felt like letting some of you out there know, if you don't already, that the English version of the first 4 arcs has been released by Mangagamer.

Also, if you don't know, some /jp/ anons have taken the liberty of tweaking it a bit. For instance, if you're not a fan of R07's artwork, there's a patch that replaces the original PC sprites and backgrounds with the PS2 graphics instead.

There are also music patches in the works, fixing the missing music and sound effects that Mangagamer didn't put in. There's a voiceover patch in the works as well.

Just to make it clear, none of the links I posted provide any Warez. However, if asked, I will remove my links.

Indeed, I've never turned it down for its original artwork. But it seems there are a lot of people who prefer the PS2 artstyle better, so I felt I should provide such links. Some people were turned off from giving it a read, simply because they couldn't stand the artwork. I told them that the art style grows on you after a while, but they usually find it strange and a distraction at first.

In any case, one patch that'd be pretty nice is the music and sound effect patch. Mangagamer apparently left out some tracks and sound effects, so people are working on fixing that a bit.

I did use the patch to remove the Mangagamer UI though (see bottom right of the first image). So annoying having that there. Removing that and setting the menu to come up on right click instead is so much better.
