Moving forward when attacking - for Bosses

So I see that when you swing, double swing, triple swing, you move forward, does that mean that if you fight a boss with high touch dmg, you gotta keep moving backwards every time you attack once? And this is not considering the magic attacks they use on you which also push you forward.

it's like barrage for buccs, when you attack a mobile monster you move forward, when you attack a stationary monster you stay in one place
