So, what's new and/or exciting in this iteration?

Mhm. That was announced in '08, and released just in late September (22nd, if I recall right) this year. On the other hand, word of this first came in E3 over the summer. We've just gotten the first trailer, and it's scheduled for release in Fall 2010. Multiplayer beta for this game should be available to those who bought ODST around the winter, I believe.

The video in the link is an in-game cutscene they release recently to show. For those seriously interested in Halo lore, this video is coolz to some of them, and I thought it might be nice to show to some of the hardcore Halo fans if there are any on these forums. I've got a few friends going wild over this trailer. Looks pretty sweet to me, not sure what else this game is going to offer. This video just seems to introduce the cast and Reach; the guy with the skull painted on his helmet-thing looks pretty awesome. I do note one of the vehicles from Halo Wars being present in the cutscene, but I'm not sure how it'll play out in the game.

Actually, the best thing I liked about the cutscene is Marty O'Donnell's music to be honest.
