What is Shadow Meso?

Does anyone actually have a screenshot of someone using Shadow Meso?

Not right this instance. But I can describe it:
Lower level shadow meso: You throw a golden meso coin instead of a star.
Higher level shadow meso: You throw a bundle of meso bills.
Effect: Set damage based on the mesos used, which is also set between amount A and B. Once it was stronger than lucky 7, before all the attack boosts and 4th job, now its not even worth to consider.

heres me using it. way back when i was 130 around the time ludi was new and stuff.

i use it at around 30-40 seconds in i think.

it does random dmg. up to 12k with a single shot and no it doesnt work with se

u can wear a lvl 20 claw and do the same dmg u do with SM as a lvl 80 claw. its not based off your range. it throws a random amount of meso at a monster and applies dmg im not sure how

its one use for me is using it to bomb people that invade my fish, random dmg under 10k= win at bombs.

Coming from a NL. It's quite useless counting Triple throw, but hey, the poster above me found a use, I guess!

I went with shadow web. Then I had 11 points left on the 3rd job skills. I wish I had used em on darksight and endure instead of shadow meso. Back then in the ancient "wtp is 4th job" days stars ran out at zakum so it had some uses still. C'est la vie.

Well the only use I see for it is if you run out of stars somewhere and you can't recharge.

I dumped 11 sp into it for this purpose. But the only time I actually ran out of stars I forgot that I had it and left the boss fight. =/ (And after that the new limit for use rows came out and now I can hold enough stars to throw for 8 hours or something crazy.)

I deciced it was more useful than double stab, disorder, and drain and dumped all my extra 3rd job sp there. But it's not hotkeyed, and I've never used it. f3

My NL maxed DS, and Endure and 1 sp in Drain. 11 sp left for shadow meso.

Only way to max Shadow Meso without wasting SP for better skills that has higher priority would be to 'not' max DS, don't put any points into Shadow Web at all, and get non-maxed Drain. Drain is efficient at lv 10-15 anyways. I still use Drain even at 133 or so (though mine is maxed.....)

I'm going to max Booster (18) and Dark Sight (5) <~ lol, I'm not planning on touching Shadow web either. I was actually curious about the skill myself. =x

My Booster is also 18, I chose not to max that either. 18 is decent for a NL.

If you meant curious about Web, uhhh... the only times you'll even use it:

-At Himes, when soloing Tengu (don't bother unless you're incredibly strong)
-At Ludi or somewhere when there are newbies going through Grims or Vikings, and you just want to help them pass easier, so you're on the ladder spamming Web like mad.
-Maybe in Leafre if you're passing Wyverns, but most likely, you'd rather go into DS-mode and just walk through them, or just FJ.

Tl;dr: Web has very little uses.

I'm not interested in Shadow Web, I'm interested in Shadow Mesos. lol, and I already know all that. I just need to hit 120- I refuse to leech and apples are fking expensive right now... so I can't apple train at newties like I do.
