So here's the story. I was recently invited to come to a wedding of an old high school friend. I've also been hanging out with a chick. Yeah, I'm sure you know where this is going. I wanna invite her to come along to the wedding. It would be like a date but not a date (since the food would be free provided and there would be less obligation so it would just seem like just hanging out at a party).
Seem easy enough eh. The thing is, I've only known her for about a month and a week. We're just friends and not that close. Unlike a date, a wedding is very personal so inviting a friend you don't know too well to a wedding seems like it would things uncomfortable for her. Does she like me? I don't know. There's a chance that she might, there's a chance she might not but I have a feeling the answer is isn't a total "no" (but I'd hate to jump to the conclusion it's a total "yes").
So now my plan is to "accidentally purposely" invite her because in this early of a friendship, she might say no. I was thinking of just a friendly chat about how a friend of mine is getting hitched then maybe slowly guide the conversation to an invite. From there, maybe accidentally slipping up or even jokingly ask? I'm a little stumped on ideas here.
